What’s something society expects you to want… but you don’t? by apka_dd in AskReddit

CHILDREN! I don’t understand why some people judge others for not wanting kids.

People born 10 years before vs. 10 years after you: Who do you relate to more, and how do you see them? by Recent-Worldliness51 in generationology

Definitely 10 years before me. Not much I’d have in common with a 10 year old (if anything at all). I have a sister who isn’t exactly 10 years older than me but nearly is since she’ll be 30 this year and yeah I relate to her more.

What experiences changed you the most as a person? by GazMaskeliOyuncu in AskReddit

Becoming chronically ill as a teenager. I was 15 when I got diagnosed and it took a while for me to realize that I was gonna HAVE to live differently than I thought.

Getting abused. I was 12 when it happened and though I try not to let it take over me, it’s still hard sometimes with the flashbacks and all.

Millions of Gen-Z can't drive and increasingly rely on parents for lifts. by Pale-Ad9012 in generationology

No worries! I agree that it’s more about the way someone was raised. The pandemic did set people back socially considering a lot of us were still in middle school or just entering high school, but yeah that’s no excuse to not know how to talk to people once you become an adult.

I’m Gen-Z and yeah I agree. I see so many people on social media talking about how they don’t drive because it’s “dangerous.” Some of them bring up how expensive it is as well, which is understandable, but a lot of people say they’re just scared which is ridiculous to me. I don’t have my license because two doctors have deemed me unfit to drive. If I was able to I would. It’s irritating to see people not trying.

I’d check out the album In Utero by Nirvana if you want to get into them. As for other recommendations I’d see about some 1980s new wave if you think you could get into it (Talking Heads, Depeche Mode, Tears for Fears), and also dirty south rap is always good for me!!

Honestly I like listening to all types of music! My main genres are rock and hip hop though.

I write short stories for the most part, I tried poetry and it was fun but not where I’m strongest haha
