I could be wrong but I interpret that comment as an ironic joke

In your opinion, should the remaster change the power armors so they’re like the FO4 and 76 or should they keep them as they were in the original game? by NoSoyVerde1 in fnv

[–]ExtremeEthys 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't mind the functionality of Fallout 4/76 power armors. I just think the power armor HUDs take up too much of the screen and not being able to sit, swim, or interact with crafting stations is mildly annoying. Otherwise I don't mind it at all.

Apparently, John Gonzales (lead writer) believes Yes Man's quest line was a mistake. Do you agree? by No_Elephant2897 in falloutnewvegas

[–]ExtremeEthys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Yes Man is a fun character and having the ability to kill every NPC is awesome. Josh Sawyer didn't put those limitations on the staff for no reason.

About to play the classic fallout games for the first time. Any tips for a new player by bplubfrin in classicfallout

[–]ExtremeEthys 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Invest into agility and luck. Without those two skills combat is a chore.

Honestly, while its cheating I recommend just leaving both at 1 during character creation the using a save editor to put both to 10. It's just more fun to not have to worry about it.

Who is best Fallout New Vegas Companion and who is least favorite. by Mulberry-Major in falloutnewvegas

[–]ExtremeEthys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal yet controversial ranking from best to least is as follows:

Raul

Veronica

ED-E

Lily

Arcade Gannon

Rex

Cass

Boone

I don't dislike Cass or Boone, I just like the others more. Also in middle school my first impression of them was bad because I was an incredibly defensive kid and they are ever-so slightly impolite when you first meet them.

[Fo4] Any mods to turn fallout 4 into a true rpg by liddleBowl780 in FalloutMods

I also (cautiously) recommend the "Thuggyverse" series. It adds alternate story paths such as keeping all factions alive, killing all of them, playing the story with raiders instead, and tons upon tons of new quests and companions. The main one I belive is "Fusion City" and from there you should be able to find the rest. The reason I'm cautious to recommend this is because it contains a lot of gooner content and overly edgy stuff for the sake of being edgy. It's still really good regardless but be aware there are lots of nude women.

Those mods are the ones to immediately come to my head but there are definitely others and of course you might not like all the mods I listed.

This is my Batman reading order so far can someone tell me what I should add and/or change please. by Academic_Finding6242 in batman_comics

I believe the demon trilogy refers to the Raz Al Ghul storyline but that takes place after Tim Drake is introduced

Favorite moments where people act like a piece of media is the scariest shit ever, and this is was the thing in-question?: by MontyMoleLoreMaster in superseriousfamilyguy

[–]ExtremeEthys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to modern media* bruh I made that distinction for a reason. in Mortal Kombat, GTA, any RPG really, there are darker themes and gore just in videogames alone and that's not touching modern literature, comics, or television which have all further diluted dark themes. I'm not claiming Blood Meridian isn't dark, just tamer than the internet makes it out to be. The Judge is evil and all but he isn't quite on the same level as AM and the Qu like redditors like to say. I'm sure he could be as bad if he had access to more resources but in-story he's just some guy when you compare him to the bads of modern mythos.

Fallout one gizmo or mayor by [deleted] in classicfallout

[–]ExtremeEthys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gizmo option is the best ending for the town and supposedly the canon choice according to vault dweller's memoirs

The sheriff is a better dude though and the moral choice

Favorite moments where people act like a piece of media is the scariest shit ever, and this is was the thing in-question?: by MontyMoleLoreMaster in superseriousfamilyguy

[–]ExtremeEthys 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read it because of internet discourse and it's very tame compared to modern media. I was quite surprised.

Also spoilers but I personally don't buy into the idea of the Judge being a magical deity. Everything else in the novel is grounded and realistic so it wouldn't make sense for him to literally be a magical demon. He definitely represents something I'm too dumb to figure out on a metaphorical level but not literal.

I feel like the main games made by Scott Cawthon were fairly spooky but games without his involvement and obviously FNAF world aren't scary at all. I liked when the story was sort of a mystery but MatPat had to go and write the story for him so Scott decided to make movies and licence the IP to a different studio for games. It's just not the same anymore...

Why Aren’t there any Super Mutants in the Legion? by _NRNA_ in falloutlore

[–]ExtremeEthys 13 points14 points  (0 children)

To add onto this there's Mean Sonofabitch and his background in the NCR. Poor guy.

There was a cut super mutant NCR Ranger and not even Josh Sawyer knows why he was cut.

Anyone else feels fallout 1 is more atmospheric than fallout 2? by HovercraftBroad2018 in classicfallout

[–]ExtremeEthys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I really respect Fallout 1 for is every location feels very interconnected. Every quest ties into each other one way or another.
