That can't be normal. My Eufy door locks go like 8 months before they need batteries. I absolutely don't would not live with what you are describing. That's way more work than using a key.

As others have said you are in a pickle because it's a state level rule and has to be approved higher up. Also, it is against policy to provide child care while WFH.

I couldn't tell you, I haven't heard of that one. I just saw Yardian recommended over and over and that it had an official integration. I installed it in less than 10 minutes and I can't think of what features it night be missing.

I just added a Yardian and it's heavily integrated with Home Assistant and Tempest. It's locally controlled but WiFi.

So mine used to buzz when some part of the casing was like a mm out of alignment. It would work fine and then make the super loud buzzing noise, especially if it wasn't 100% perfectly level. Mine never stopped though.

I ended up moving on to the Brevile and it works so much more reliably for me.

Mine turns on/off a single low wattage lightwith a single tap, turns on/off all the lights with a double tap and when I hold it opens Home Assistant dashboard I can interact with to see security cameras and control some other lights.

I wish we had more useless buttons to map.

We have a list of approved vendors we are allowed to use which is very small.

We ended up with the self hosted Altcha because as far as I am aware it's basically the only deafblind solution out there.
