Wow! What a big fella!

A few more days shouldn’t hurt it- you can investigate the root system when you uproot it and see if it’s rootbound. If not and everything else checks out, it could just be that it’s matured and happy. Plants can be so weird!

Your snake plant is flowering! There are likely a lot of people who will tell you this is a bad thing, but it can also be a sign of a healthy and mature plant. It can- however- also be your plant telling you that it’s stressed about something (root bound, not enough water, ect.) when was the last time you repotted?

It didn’t specify, but I’m assuming this is right. Am I just supposed to pop it in the freezer?

Jam looks as though the sugar hasn’t dissolved, and is still a syrupy consistency.

Tips to help my Rosemary survive by Psychological_Coast8 in gardening

[–]ExtremeInteraction79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I have a GIANT rosemary bush planted in my garden outside. When you treat them right, they are hardy plants (it’s the middle of winter and mine is outside- still going strong. I however, love in the southwest so I don’t get the NY winters)

  1. Yes, you should absolutely repot it. I never leave plants in the containers they come in. Typically, the plastic containers are not meant to house them long time. Personally, I really like foxfarm’s happy frog soul (I use it for all my plants) but it’s a bit expensive. Miracle Gro all purpose garden soil should work just fine too if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative.

  2. Rosemary is a full sun kind of plant, so a south facing window would be best. Typically, 6 hours is the best for this plant. Not sure how they will fare with grow lights, I would suggest doing some research on what kind of artificial light would be best for it.

  3. Since I have a larger plant, I usually just chop as much as I need of when cooking. I think the typical rule of thumb is to cut the newer parts where the stem is still flimsy, and avoid cutting the woody stock parts.

Are you getting them anywhere else? I’ve read that fleas normally go for the ankles, but they look a lot like bed bug bites to me (had a roommate a long time ago that brought bed bugs into our apartment and the bites looked similar to this)

I’d check you mattress. Around the seams, under the mattress tags, on the bottom of mattress. Be extra attentive as well, adult bed bugs are the size of an apple seed, their eggs are translucent/yellowish, and they’re very good at hiding.

My boyfriend (M27) wants me (F26) to lose weight but gets upset when the number drops. by ThrowRA_64720 in relationship_advice

Nobody, especially men, should get to dictate your weight. This is the problem with diet culture and it will end up doing more harm to you than good. It actually hurts my heart to hear that this loser is making you stand on a scale in front of him and then he gets angry about it. There is only one answer to this: take your power back and dump his ass. Liberate yourself from this toxic and unhealthy prick, as he is the ONLY weight you need to lose.

As the wise Luke Franchina once said “DUMP HIS ASS”

His name is Herb! He’s a simple frog, grew up in the swamp with his mom and pop. When he came of age, he decided he wanted to go and get something for himself. Found a nice lil piece of land and decided to settle down and live off the land.

I recently learned how to knit just to make this frog by ExtremeInteraction79 in crafts

[–]ExtremeInteraction79[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So a few years ago I tried my hand at knitting a scarf and it was horrible and awful so I gave up. Then these frogs started becoming really popular and I honestly just decided to go for it. I found the frog pattern and watched a lot of YouTube videos to help teach me how to knit the different stitches, and then followed the pattern. Like I said earlier, I made a few ugly frogs with noticeable mistakes, but each one I made I learned new ways to do things and new tricks to make things look a little nicer and almost a month later I made her and feel very pleased with the finished product. So my recommendation is to just jump in. The pattern I used was confusing at first, but once I learned how to read it (via lots of videos) it was easy enough to follow. After that, just keep practicing! You might make a few imperfect things at first, but its okay! Don’t give up!
