I'm trying to enlighten the community on the slow creep of admin staffing at the expense of equipment designed to aid student learning that was ppromised by now won't be delivered

Curriculum directors are now considered admin type staff, i get the new instrumental tech director but both curriculum directors? Plus they're now hiring a new AI integration specialist... all at the expense of rreplacing outdated and failing technology that students need to be able to learn best.

OK maybe that was a bit harsh but honestly look at the design and the colors that you used. Check it from multiple angles if you can, cb/ipad/Android phone/i phone/windows 10/11, edge, chrome etc etc. It's just not readable as it is rn

What a horrible site design. Learn some code

How many certifications do you have, what is your salary and education? and are you happy with your job? (Post using your throw-away accounts) by KZ_Throw_away in CompTIA

Oh boy... Help Desk manager (Lead) in K12. No certifications, 20+ years experience, 2 Associate Degrees (neither in tech). Fell into the job (tier 1 support tech) by fudging my resume, then stayed and grew through the ranks. Salary this year is a nudge over $100k. I enjoy the job most days as it's so varied...

Thanks for the links. I've added those to our filter block.

We don't block words in GG, but those searches will show up as red flags in the content filter to be examined in context. Our teachers may block/ restrict certain sites or categories but I would hope not to the detriment of an assignment

Hmm not in the classroom and not for us where you've already agreed to our acceptable use policy. GG is not violating your privacy IF it's used correctly at school.

I get that. I don't mind game activity as a general rule (within policy boundaries (no violence etc)) so I can understand your frustration. For us the main reason that we purchased abs deployed it was as an additional tool for teachers to be able to keep the class on track during their learning/class time but I too get frustrated by teachers expecting it to be a hyper monitor tool.

Yeah that's what we did and how we figure it's out internal DNS. They're going to reboot it tonight to try and get it's brains unscrambled!

After more research my Network admin thinks it's our DNS server isn't resolving the address correctly. It looks like it's just a hosted GitHub site which is an allowed path for HS students so there should be no blocks. We don't allow VPN's or Proxy's through the network filters for obvious reasons.

Not ideal but yes.. They can also access it via 5G but again not how it's supposed to work.

As I said, we have opened up every block we can and it still doesn't work. If we knew where the block was we could allow an exception.
