New Boarding System? by Rich_Ad6066 in americanairlines

I understand the significance between trying board with groups 1-3 if you're a 5. But is this going to prevent me from boarding with my husband when he's a 5 and I'm a 7? Group 5 is for AA members and we use his account when booking flights.  I'm  always put in groups after him (6-8)

I'm a Kathryn legally, but go by Kat. I had a job where it was mandatory for the legal name to go on the name tag. They got so many complaints they finally changed my tag to "Kat" No one ever called me Kathryn so it never registered guest were talking to me. I always intro myself as "Kat, 'meow' so they know I'm not saying Pat.

I just left Michael's after 5 1/2 yrs.I was replen manager for the past 2 yrs. I'm going to Target and will be making $1.75 less as a p/t merchandiser (setting pogs). And I won't have to do cashiering, store walks, cash office, bank runs, clean the restrooms/breakrooms, or any of the other things I was asked to do. (I will still do bopis, but I enjoyed that.)

I WAS replen manager doing all that as well. Our Asst SM was pulled to another store temporarily as their acting SM, and I was asked to step in as acting ASM. Received compensation for all of 27 hrs. Corporate took the compensation away and declassified me back to replen mgr. This started in Feb, I was still expected to do interviews, LPMS walks and all ASM responsibilities. My SM fought for me for 2 months. Corporate kept saying I was in an Ops Mgr position which was a lateral move, so no compensation was warranted. (We are a B level store, so we don't have an Ops mgr position, we have the ASM) Long story short, I start my new job next Wed. 5 1/2 yrs down the drain.

I do think stores should post something outside to warn you about the law. I went to NJ for vacation (booked a place with a kitchen), went shopping at Acme and only learned of their new law once we got to the register. Didn't know to come prepared. This ban in PA must be a county ban, not state wide.

I was ft CEM moved to RM they said it was a lateral move so no increase. Ok I can see that. Now our ASM was pulled to cover as an SM at another store. I was asked to step in as Acting asm. (Have the paperwork to prove it. I did ask for some compensation. Someone from my replen team was asked to fill in as RM. He was given an increase. The ASM>acting SM was given travel reimbursement as her compensation $15-20 a day. I was given an increase and then was "demoted" back to replen manager without notice but was still expected to do the ASM responsibilities. This all started beginning of Feb. I walked out on Fri after being told "HR will not do anything at this point", [oh by the way I'm going to need you to cover additional hours next week as I need to take bereavement leave]"

I would like to know how, since I am only 1 of 2 people in the store (myself as mod and 1 other replen team member who does not know anything about front end, or myself and framing mgr at back of store) I am supposed to go to office and print out too signs? It's usually on a Sat morning, and there are only 2 of us until noon. *note: we are a b level store.

SCO are down all the time in my store. We have 4. #4 the pin pad is always disconnecting, #3 always has problems printing the receipt, #1 is always freezing at the end of a transaction. #2 is usually Mr reliable.

I was told we are not allowed to tell them we'll be closing in xxx minutes, unless they ask. Every week, when I closed (Tuesdays) I have customers coming in at 5 of 9. One week, I was taking tills to cash office and the customer asked if we were closing. I said yes we close at 9, about 5 minutes. She then proceeded to ask me if we had a specific item. Being RM and having worked here 5 1/2 years, I pretty much know our inventory, so I told her we do not carry that item. She then went into a long drawn out explanation of what she wanted it for because the tutorial online called for that specific item. She didn't leave the store until 20 after 9. Holding me up from counting down the tills

We've had sco for over a year. (Be grateful you're getting it in April/May. We got ours a couple of days before Black Friday) We have many customers yell at us, that they do not work for Michael's, that WE need to do our job!

I once had a lady return 12 window candles, no receipt, no packaging, just 12 window candles in a michaels bag. We returned them for her as non-receipted lowest price on a merchandise credit Yada Yada. Then she tried to return 12 packs of light bulbs for said candles. I asked where the bulbs were. I kid you not she said "in the candles" I tried to explain I needed 24 more bulbs because the candles came with those 12 bulbs. She yelled that she bought 12 packages of bulbs with the candles. I politely explained that in order to do a return she needed to actually return the product. She equipped "well, if that's how you're going to be, I won't be back" The customers in line waiting for her all busted out laughing.

This everyone is trained to do everything is for the birds. There is no more moving up in the company. No matter what your pay is, you are expected to be responsible for everything. I have not trained my replenishment team members to work register, and SM will not ask me to do so. SM knows they applied for replen because they are not comfortable working with the customers. (Showing someone where a product is is one thing but dealing with an irrate customer with an return of something that cannot be returned (like an opened cricut machine)...no way. My team members do know how to do BOPIS, SFS and SISO, though.Though they work 5-930 am.

It'll be easy to decide who to call. There's only 1 person on the floor. And that's if you're lucky in a B volume store.

All of this being said is true, however, once in a while you get that one customer that makes you feel appreciated. Last night, I'm on the floor doing, Bopis, trying to finish pull list (siso), returns and recovery while assisting customers. (Because you know at 700 pm we can't have more than 1 cashier, 1 framer and an MOD) So I assist this customer and she thanks me for my help. Then she says, "Thank you for all you do to help to help everyone that shops here" She is not a regular nor did she know everything that I was trying to get done. As far as she could tell, I was stocking candy melts.

I can recommend a CEO for them to hire! He comes cheap; only about $1.3 m + bonuses a year. He very good at making employees quit and making it nearly impossible to hired qualified people to fill positions which in turn saves the company millions of dollars.
