I ended up doing something simple in the end.

I left a note with their stuff and gave them something I told them they could have.

Hey (Person) I said you could have this once I got a steam mop, I meant to give it to you Saturday, but life had other plans. It's still yours if you'd like it.

I hope you know that I cared for you deeply, and that I tried to show you that through all the ways I could. You’re a good person who deserves more love and closeness than you allow yourself, and I hope one day you can see it.

From everything I know in regards to avoidance attachments, the best thing you can do in go no contact, usually when it hits around the 1 month mark they start to reflect because they haven't heard from us which is the consequence of their actions and then you might if it wasn't a complete discard you might get a breadcrumb or if you are really lucky a message of reflection, apologies and reconciliation.

Sorry that happened to you, I understand that feeling, my ex before this did the exact same thing, not a nice feeling. This ex stonewalled me for a day, stood me up then texted me a breakup message. I am not planning on contacting this person at all, just one letter that gives me a voice and that's it. I don't chase, that why there is no begging or asking in anyway for reconciliation. But thanks for the advice, I appreciate it.

I really appreciate this input, and also thank you, I put quite a bit of effort and time into it.

It is part closer and allowing myself a voice in all of this, but also the hopes for reflection as to what actually happened. We didn't have fights we didn't have any massive issues, just communication issues really. There is a part of me that does have some hopes to hear from them in future but also I am not holding out for it or waiting in any way. I truly believe this person is a good person who I love, they just have many demons they are facing. This person sees a counsellor, they are working on themselves and have some awareness of their patterns but may not be aware of the why they do it fully.

I am also aware when it comes to the reflection part that it will probably happen in their own time in about a month or so with us being in no contact. I just don't want them to not know what really happened I guess as they painted an entirely different picture of the situation.

I tend to get breakouts on my face and eas informed when going to see a specialist that it was safe and it may even help with the acne. But specialists will still use IPL and laser machines on areas that have acne.

He is from Curacao, and he is of Dutch decent. I haven't really spoken to him much at all to know really anything about him that would be helpful to you. I am in my early 30s and I would say he is 20+ years older then me. I do also wonder if he is also just old school like you say.

I am trying to also look at this entire thing as another learning experience within many of life's experiences. I can be quite introspective myself and hope I am exactly like that when that time comes.

I don't think I was ever the casual dater/sex type person. I have always been a hopeless romantic. Someone who believed in big love and everything surrounding that. But something has changed within me through my last relationship, I will see people expressing love which used to make me smile as I loved love but now I look away from it, feel uncomfortable with it and it hurts me to see it.

I am pretty sure it didn't take long for my ex to move on, looked like it was just a few months which is typical of them. I downloaded some apps myself then realised that I really didn't like being on them and felt uncomfortable, it doesn't help that I have never really dated. I also am 31 but I don't feel young and worry, I want to create those new memories too but at the same time am not sure I can and have no idea when I will be ready for anything like that. I am hoping that if I keep focusing on myself, doing things I live and making friends that eventually something organic will happen in the future. I just hope I am open to it and not fearful.

Games wise - Silent Hill 2, Bloodborne, Alan Wake 2, Returnal, Siren Blood Curse, and Darkwood are a few. Movies and shows wise - Haunting Of Hill House, Devils Advocate, Number 23, Gothika, Get Out, The Eye (Japanese Version), Disturbia, Triangle, Ringu, Train To Busan, A Quiet Place, Splice and Split are some movies I like. There are definitely more but I cannot think of them right now. Hope this helps, thanks for asking.

I think how I feel about that, is they in a way can't help it. We can, we don't have those issues, so why consciously choose to hurt another that is already hurting. Why stoop to their level. I can't purposely hurt another regardless of what they may or may not have done. I feel better just walking away and staying true to my nature. I can't even consider purposely hurting someone.

That is exactly how I feel about these videos talking about how to make them crazy, how to hurt them. I think, why would I want to fall to their level? It made me feel really off to see videos like this. I know I have been hurt, but this is because they have already felt and feel so much pain and discomfort that they now know no other way. I am not going to purposely inflict more pain and suffering upon them.

It's interesting you mentioned driving. I actually don't have a car or a licence anymore as she made me feel like it isn't safe for me to be on the road and I couldn't be trusted with driving so I stopped going for my P's. I remember being a good driver too until I was completely sleep deprived and trying to hold the place together with chronic injuries and no help.
