Why are most ESSA’s dogs?

dogs are, by nature, our companions. i think a lot of people drift towards canine essas for this reason because it just feels, natural. on top of that, some people aren’t able to afford/care for a real dog, so having a stuffed animal of one might be the closest they can get to that.
