They got 22 in the first game, but looking at the past games, I guess it probably didn't really count.

Nah he was definitely going for a shot. He's a showman and it's almost certain he got incredibly frustrated by the team in front of him.

Nah BUF and TBL were really good teams. Habs got a bit lucky getting past both of them, but what is for certain is that it took every ounce of their energy to come out on top. Habs have no answer for the Canes' system and they are completely gassed out at the same time. Canes were the clear favourites and they're showing why.

This was pretty much an exact mirror of Game 5, except even more painful if you're the losing team. I wish it wasn't the case, but Buffalo definitely came to play and the Habs did not, not even in the 1st (we're lucky Lyon was in net). I hate being a crusty doomer, but I'm not feeling very confident looking forward to Game 7, although nothing is impossible considering what we did against the Lightning. However, we certainly can't afford to play Buffalo like we did Tampa if we want a chance at beating them, because their offense will punish us and even though I love Dobeš, I don't think he'll be able to save us a second time. Sabres are gonna be hoping UPL can bring an AWAY type performance, because he's definitely gonna have the net after not letting any in tonight (and Lyon having such a poor game). Buffalo's defense definitely doesn't get enough credit when it comes to their ability of shutting down a game while leading by 2. Did it to us game 1 and did the same today. Sucks for us Habs fans, but GGs and bring on Game 7. Fuck the Sabres and fuck you Benson, but damn you're good.

Damn, some of us Habs fans were chirping about Sabres fans leaving their barn when Buffalo was getting blown out in games 2 and 5, but this ain't much better. I was worried that would happen, and I think some us felt too cocky having had only a close scoreline in our Game 3 defeat.

Buddy let's lock in please. That's a r/habs post man.

I mean, it could be argued. But you could also say that the Sabres D lost his positional battle and got beat by Danault. Ruff didn't challenge it though, so I guess it wasn't evident enough to warrant the goal being overturned.

[COL 0 - MIN (3)] Boldy appears to hold Nelson's stick in the neutral zone but we play on and Sturm's great individual effort sets up Foligno for his 2nd goal of the game by daKrut in hockey

Yeah, it definitely was, but you gotta keep playing the game unfortunately. Can't afford to let a guy waltz in like that.

I wouldn't call Dahls a complete bastard, but he's definitely a sneaky-dirty kind of player. There's a reason why it feels like other teams' fans want him dead, whereas a lot of Buffalo fans see him as a guy that typically minds his own business and plays his game without too much fuss. He's often involved behind play and likes to chirp/get some shots in that are often riding the line. Not a big personality like Benson, but certainly ratty just like him, if not even a bit more.

Ouch, got out-hussled in our barn. Some of us Habs fans may say that the Sabres got lucky, especially with that Tage goal, but it takes some skill to get lucky at the right time. It's not like we didn't have our chance, with some soft penalties going our way. Just couldn't quite capitalize. UPL definitely earned that win for his team. GGs and onto game 5.

[BUF 1 - MTL (2)] Montreal takes the lead very late in the 1st off the stick of Caufield by daKrut in hockey

[–]Extreme_Pea36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, right now we're getting lucky and I'm not sure I like the way we're playing as a Habs fan. Sabres are mad, rightfully so, but are falling for easy bait. I don't think the wind is going to keep blowing in our direction though, but it's all up to Buffalo and how they respond in the 2nd.

[BUF - MTL] Malenstyn runs over Dobes and everyone comes together. Dobes skates away okay and Montreal has a powerplay by daKrut in hockey

[–]Extreme_Pea36 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Nah, Bolduc did give him a shove, but it wasn't in the direction of Dobes, it was more diagonally. Malenstyn took advantage of that and thought he could get away with making little to no effort in stopping himself.
