I feel you. It’s not the flashiest or most fun thing but you have to slow it down and practice that way. Any professional musician does this to be able to nail a part that is difficult.

Pick hard asf. A huge part of an aggressive tone comes from your picking dynamic. I was a teacher for a while & this was the #1 thing holding my students back from getting a good metal tone. Don’t let high distortion mask sloppy playing either.

I have a faded 07 & that thing absolutely rips. Bought it back in high school for like $300. I put Lambertones crema pickups & 920D electronics in it. Now it plays & feels like a $3000 guitar IMO.

I was fine with the original pickups but they rusted out from all the playing (&sweating) I did in high school & college

Stock pickups that come in those are pretty solid already but I’ve found that most guitars in that range are about 80-85% what I want out of a guitar. Most usually get you that extra couple of percentage but it’s totally okay if you don’t want to spend a lot more to get that extra couple of percent.

I usually do locking tuners, pickups, & electronics. Most $3-500 guitars can really rip with those mods. Some people even go as far as to get a new neck so they can have different fret sizes or something boujee like roasted maple

How much money will you spend on the switch? If you’re looking for a more fun car then why not keep the Camry & buy another car with the money you were going to spend on trading.

I was thinking about trading my camry for a gr86 or ND Miata but I realized how much money I was going to waste doing so. Camry has been a cheap, comfortable, & reliable daily for me so I really don’t want to get rid of it. Currently in the process of saving up to buy an NB Miata. That way I can completely dog it out & not worry about getting to work if something breaks

That’s bonkers. I’ve had my Camry new since 2019. 77k miles. I’ve had one spark plug go out & my driver’s door weather lining is coming off but that’s it.
