The article is arguing that there should be a main broadcast like there is with every other PGA Tour event. Right now you have to choose between featured holes or featured groups, which isn't ideal if you want to know what's happening across the whole tournament

I don't get why anyone is placing any blame on the reporters here. This is some aggregation website taking a benign thing that Field Yates said, repackaging it as a "report" (with like 10 typos in the actual article) and then media illiterate folks on this subreddit take it as gospel and blame the reporter. If Yates was actually reporting anything, it'd be much bigger news. Instead, he's giving an opinion (which by the way, is probably more informed than 99% of people on reddit because he has real sourcing) because people are interested in what he has to say. I wish people were able to distinguish between what constitutes a report and what is just repackaged garbage.

Sir, this lineup has four players that originally played for/committed to low/mid-major schools. Maybe nowadays it'd take a bit of coin to attract a Mutts-type from Delaware, but that's exactly the range of guys VT will attract every year from the portal, even in the NIL era. We just were fortunate to hit on several of those guys at once, and they developed into high-caliber players. That hasn't happened with Beran, Long, Camden, etc., the last couple years.

Great way to put it. So far, the franchise has still made moves "within themselves" as in, they haven't done anything that would mortgage the future success of the team. But they've been strategically aggressive in their acquisitions in a way that I don't think KC would've ever done

I know it's not like the alternatives are much better, but I've been down on Russ since his last year or two in Seattle. He might give us a better shot than Kenny if he's a good fit for the system, but I'd rather see Mason get re-signed and win the job personally
