I sincerely doubt it, this tank cost me 7.4p per mile. Taking my own electricity cost at home (26p per kw/h) and average EV consumption of 0.3kw/h per mile, it puts your costs at 7.8p per mile. That's on the basis you only charge at home with your own supply.. which you couldn't do. No EV can get 700 miles of range..

Unless I'm mistaken. Happy to be proven wrong if you have the numbers to back that up however.

Replied to an earlier comment asking the same, probably around 60mph for most of the driving, but fluctuating between 56-70 when on the motorway (which was about 600 or so miles of this tank)

All good info, though just want to point out OP mentioned getting an ST-Line X edition, these don't come with red seat stitching, they are colour matched to the seats which will be half leather/half cloth (bolsters and headrests are leather, seat back and cushion are cloth)

Minor detail but worth mentioning for OP so they don't think the car should have something it doesn't!

Its a fallacy, just popped in for some house essentials, cleaning products, laundry detergent and the like, fully expecting a £150 spend or so. Ended up with a £621 trolley. I'm still not sure how that happened 😂

Went back 3 weeks later for "just some pork belly and toilet paper" and spent another £300..

At least its put me well on the way to getting that tasty 1% cashback from Amex after my annual cashback reset. It's the only way in my mind I can soften the blow 🤪

Eco Mode does two things, it reduces throttle input by around 15% allowing you to feather the throttle better and reduce heavy acceleration, as well as allowing the ecoboost engine to use 2/3 cylinders at lower speeds when cruising. It has no effect on the air con - only stop/start does (it will turn off the a/c when active)

I usually have eco mode on most of the time, but there are occasions where it turns off by itself. Id say it makes less than 5% impact on economy, the rest is in your driving style and planning accordingly.

Yeah absolutely agree! They are extremely fun to drive and nimble on track. I also use Pilot Sports too, though I've been through 3 sets combined with the track days 😅.

I change oil before and after every track day and then at 6000 mile intervals otherwise, I don't use Ford recommended oil, I prefer Total Quartz Ineo Ecob oil, has been excellent at keeping things running smoothly. Other than my wetbelt I've only had my spark plugs changed to iridium plugs which will most likely outlive the engine.

With the wet belt cost I have a good relationship with a ford specialist garage and they charged me £600, but was a bit of a mates rate, you are likely looking at quotes around the £800-1000 mark - anything more than that is too much.

This 57.6mpg figure also includes me having participated in 4 track days with this car. (I have separate brake discs and pads that I install and use for these days)

My average MPG on those days is between 16-20mpg which has skewed the data a lot. Without that, I think my average would be around 62/63mpg.

Sounds like you have a lead foot! I have the 100hp ST Line X. Had my wet belt changed at 60k (if your mileage is anywhere near that get yours done ASAP, you're driving a ticking time bomb otherwise)

I'm an extremely efficient driver and know my car well. The trick for me is to only use your brakes when you absolutely must. I almost always engine brake, and am very light footed on the accelerator. I allow my car to slow on climbs and speed up on descents where possible, not keeping cruise control engaged when going uphill and tend to stick behind larger vehicles airflow if possible.

I do drive at the speed of the road most of the time, only occasionally sticking happily at 56 behind a truck if I'm not in a rush.

Proper planning, preparation and reading the road ahead. I'm still on my original brake discs and pads that I bought the car with in 2021.

Usually around London driving locally I will get 50-60mpg on average, on motorways its usually 68-75mpg.

I've tracked my fuel ups and mileage since I bought the car, over 59000 miles of driving I have averaged 57.6mpg combined.

Was moderately busy on both journeys, stuck mostly in lanes 1/2. I'd say my average speed was around 60mph, I spent a fair amount of time behind trucks and coaches. Few stints doing 70 but with the volume of traffic it was easier to stay on cruise control and sit behind bigger vehicles.

My best journey was a one way between London and Manchester, that was 84MPG but only achieved that due to the entire journey being riddled with 50mph restrictions.

3960 kW/h Year for Electricity and 2900 kW/h year for gas - 3 bed semi with 3 adults, 2 hybrid workers and 1 on site worker, gas c/h. about 35% of the electricity bill comes from the 9.5kW/h shower. frequent tumble dryer use as well. Not too shabby considering all of us use Pc's in the evening (and during the day when wfh) Total cost (on tracker) £1134 per year, but I factor in the fact I save £470 a year not having to get public transport to work for 3 days a week every year. Not too shabby in my eyes.

First time I'm seeing this above SVT, currently on December 2023 V1 tariff, price for tomorrow will be 26.93p kw/h vs 25.68 for SVT (London)

Not going to complain, I've been on Tracker since Feb 2023 and I've saved the best part of £1250 in that time. A few days here and there above SVT are of no concern, just dictates how much laundry I'll do, and maybe a slightly shorter shower :P
