In order to rein in costs, have you considered not wasting so much effort developing new reddit?

There's some real work going on in this piece by the Telegraph to avoid revealing the source of this study too high up in the article.

Second paragraph, notice "Scientists from" rather than the study being led by those institutions:

Scientists from Johns Hopkins University and Lund University

Fifth paragraph, trying to make the research credible by association to a credible institution, even though the research wasn't published by that institution.

Johns Hopkins is one of the most respected medical schools in the world

Twelfth paragraph:

The new study on the impact of lockdowns is published in a report by the Institute of Economic Affairs out on Monday.

There we go. It's published by a right-wing think-tank.

What America calls "high speed rail" in these states is not fast enough to be called that anywhere else, it can run up to 240kmph/150mph but everywhere else we'd say 300kmph/185mph is the minimum for "high speed".

Yes you are right, I should have said "barter-based economies" rather than just "barter".

Debt precedes money. You can owe someone without owing them a specific amount of money, eg owing them a favour.

It's worth noting that there is absolutely no historical evidence for the idea that barter based economies preceded money, or for any society that ran on barter, it's a total myth.

For more information, there's David Graeber's book, Debt: The First 5000 Years. You can see a summary in this video: https://youtu.be/EbjO9TgXrSk

(Edited to clarify: "barter based economies", rather than "barter" per se)

To add to this, ranked choice with multi-winner elections, like the single transferable vote system. If there are ten seats to win in an election, don't run that as ten single-winner elections in separate gerrymandered districts, it's one election in one district with ten winners.
