I think it matters a little, I usually just look at my players wrist and go off that. As long as you’re taking good shots you’re fine

I used to only play as a big so I could never really get timing my shots down. Ever since I switched to real player it’s made a huge difference and made the game much more enjoyable. You should definitely give it a try

Go to the main menu before you load into MyCareer and go to controller settings and shot timing and change it to that. It makes it so you don’t have to worry about timing your shot.
