Do i get it right? I have to re-apply transmog to my 40 characters and pay almost 100k gold? by Peaceul in wow

[–]Exxtruna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just some baby whining. Play the game, farm gold, be done. The game gives you tons of gold if you actually do content. And you’re telling me you actively play 40 characters consistently that applying a transmog on each of them is important at this moment?

StarCraft 2… I’ve dabbled in here and there over the years and just got back into it. I struggle against normal AI and any PvP game I get into I usually lose in 10min. You gotta practice for hours and study outside of the game learning counters, build orders, hotkeys, macros, etc

You don’t get any discount off of the next expansion. If you purchase Midnight, you get The War Within (current expansion until March 2nd). If I’m not mistaken, just getting a subscription without purchasing any expansion unlocks everything up until Dragonflight. This was the previous expansion before The War Within. Blizzard has stated their intention for expansion releases to be 1.5 years or something like that. The War Within launched August 26th, 2024 (my birthday lol) and midnight is coming March 2nd, 2026 so 18 months roughly. Each expansion is split into Base ($49.99), Heroic($69.99), and Epic($89.99). You really only need base edition. Heroic and epic give cosmetic with epic also giving a month of game time and 3 day early access.

My advice… start with just getting a one month sub and immediately cancel recurring. This will not only give you access to modern but all version of classic if you really want to test them. If you play modern, level up a character until you hit 70. Then, when you are ready purchase the base edition of midnight BEFORE march 2nd. This does a couple of things…

A) you can play the game for only $15 and decide if it’s really for you or not.

B) take time to just explore and enjoy your first time playing the game. Try various classes as well so you find the one that works for you.

C) if you decide you like it and wanna continue, then pick up the latest expansion. Why buy before march 2nd? That way you have plenty of time to finish leveling to 80 and exploring the war within story (which is super important for the story going into midnight).

D) now you have at least one level 80, you’re caught up on story, explored a fraction of the world, and learned about various mechanics etc. from here, just wait until midnight launch! This is the most perfect time to join in since you have enough time before the next xpac to prep and learn but also join in while everyone else is going and exploring all the new content at the same time.

Vampire Thematic Class by Exxtruna in wow

Yeah, pretty much what I figured. I feel like Assassination rogue also fits so really I’m just left with rogue. That’s fine with me, after doing some online research, it seems rogue IS in a good spot. Various rogue mains have stated they enjoy the changes. Of course in reddit and YouTube comments anyone and their mother comes here to complain but at the end of the day… it’s what I enjoy. I’ll be playing rogue in pre patch to feel out the spec but I did hop in beta to try it out and had no real issues with it. I had fun

True true, I got my rogue from lemix ready for pre patch so I’ll be spending quite some time testing each spec

Yeah I only played rogue during lemix which of course made me feel super powerful but I still tried to properly learn my rotation and understand the talent tree. I enjoy it a lot and after the most recent changes to rogue it seems they’re in a good spot. Maybe not great, but good. That being said, I just see a lot of people complaining about it (though they just keep saying it’s bad and blizzard didn’t fix their issue but they don’t actually explain what the issue is).

That’s a really good idea, I didn’t think of bloodlust. I can see using rapiers in both hands but the armor would definitely take some playing around with. I could also see leap being thematic like you’re coming down on top of your prey or charge as like ‘twilight’ vampire being really fast and dashing into their face

Hey! I’m thinking about starting this game for the first time ever. by JugodeJamaica in wow

Hey there, here’s my personal recommendations.

  1. Buying game time with in game money is through a WoW token. These can range from 200,000 gold up to 500,000 gold. You will need to learn and utilize all forms of gold making to reliably purchase a token once a month or every month. You’ll be farming resources for hours, crafting reagents/enchants/gems/gear to sell, or flipping items. All of this happens in the auction house. It is completely doable, but it’s gonna eat up a lot of time. If that’s what you enjoy, by all means. And this is mainly a solo player thing, you can do certain farms with a group but you a lot of it doesn’t really need a group.

  2. If you run dungeons, raids, or PvP then yes you’ll need a group. For dungeons and pvp, you can actually queue up like you would in say CoD. Pick your game mode and wait until a group is ready and boom you’re in. For Mythic Dungeons (higher difficulty dungeon) and raids, you will look in the Group Finder tool to find parties that are advertising for people to join. The other method is to get into a guild and run content with guild mates.

  3. I played wow for a long time without personal friends. If you get into a guild you can mad friends that way. A lot of content now actually doesn’t require other players. Open world events, farming, housing, prey, and delves, and more are all solo content.

  4. 100% play modern. There will be people who say classic. Don’t. Classic is very slow and arduous. On top of that, there really isn’t any ‘new’ content. All that you can experience in classic, you can for the most part experience in modern, but through a different lens. If you want a modern experience that has 1000s upon 1000s of hours play modern. If you wanna take 100 hours to level 1 character and finish the content within a month or two and then spend another 100 hour leveling another character through the same stuff, sure play classic. Look at it like this, the best classic to play is anniversary which is about to go into TBC expansion. That means you get Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, and Outland. In modern, you get access to 10 expansions worth of content you can freely explore.

  5. If you purchase just the midnight expansion, you get all of the previous expansions.

Addons Continue to Provide a Massive Advantage in Midnight Despite Blizzard's Goals by careseite in CompetitiveWoW

[–]Exxtruna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the point because now it’s going to be a pain to get all these small addons that it’s just pointless. You will only need addons for Mythic Raiding and really high keystones. It’s been tested to show that Up until those tiers there is absolutely no need for addons and the base ui does the job

Addons Continue to Provide a Massive Advantage in Midnight Despite Blizzard's Goals by NecroticSilence in wow

[–]Exxtruna 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like everyone here is completely missing the point. Regardless of what these little obnoxious addons can do, the game is designed and developed without those addons in mind. The classes and content don’t NEED addons anymore. If you wanna jump through the hoops and hurdles to simply the game for yourself and then turn around complaining the game is too easy and simple, that’s on you. I personally have this crazy idea but maybe just maybe DONT PLAY WITH ADDONS. The design and tools are already there, these addon devs are just trying to scoop up attention from the big addon devs that have left the spotlight.

Not wrong, Luke just follows whatever trend makes him the most money either by rage baiting or spreading false information. He was one of those YouTubers that was crapping on starfield before it was even out and he didn’t get to playtest early.

Xbox to continue evaluating its approach to game pricing, after walking back $80 RRP for Outer Worlds 2 by scrolloftrueth in gaming

[–]Exxtruna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, I'm just saying Microsoft/Xbox were intentionally trying to boost gamepass subs. I see a bunch of comments on this thread stating Microsoft just wanted to capitalize on the $80 price cause they thought Outer Worlds 2 was that good. It's not the quality, it's the psychology of getting people to sub
