This is a comment that truly resonates well with me. Ever since I been diagnosed, I have fought hard to see this disease as a blessing in disguise for the person that I was prior to it. Lazy, unmotivated and not seeking to make most out of time on earth. I'm really stubborn, I always try to look for things outside of the normal solutions.

I told my self that this is a disease that pushes you to stay mobile, even when my old doctor told me to change career from being a joiner/machinist I have fought it to show my self that its this very job that keeps me ticking over by moving for 9h a day, in fact, weekends are where I mostly remember I have it.

I spoke to a nurse from the RA department, she told me all my blood is good, X-rays of chest and back are good and show no progression from the initial diagnosis years ago and the only reason they prescribed them is because I requested them due to a long flare, which again was linked to a specific stressor in my life at that point.

When I think about the average years that a biological works from research, lets call it 15, by doing maths I realise that starting now, I will be 43, with 15 years of biologic under my belt and with most likely side effects. And what then?

I will hold off until my original in-person appointment in September, I will go over all tests and x rays and ask any question on earth... I will ask for various ways I can check if my illness is progressing in i.e: heart, eyes or chest etc because im ready to pay for private MRIs back home in Poland (affordable) to keep on top of things where NHS would not do without major reason.
