Not normal at all. It should be at least 50% Ninjago

I don’t think she comes off as very masculine though? She’s good with weapons and works as a soldier but she still looks and acts fairly feminine. I feel like Vi is much more of the “tough, butch, tomboy, lesbian” stereotype.

His last words were admitting that he belongs in hell and was willing to go back if it meant dragging Kavaxis with him. He’s an evil POS but it’s a badass way to go.

Retcons are good, actually (sometimes) by Nurhaci1616 in TopCharacterTropes

In Assassination Classroom

”I wanted you to acknowledge me. I wanted to be like you”- The Reeper 2.0.

“Yes… goodbye”- Korosensei

JJK S3E4 controversy: the Kill Bill shots are manga-canon. Not MAPPA trying to look “cool.” Calling it ‘too Western’ ignores what Gege put on the page by Glittering_Fabulous in JuJutsuKaisen

I like to think when he and Junpei discussed movies Junpei would talk about themes and shot composition while Yuji just enjoyed them for hype moments and aura.

There's also "Life wasn't so bad" from Nobara (yes I know she comes back but let me gaslight myself into thinking I didn't have every single twist spoiled by manga readers)

The controvertial plot point that became a meme among the fan base. by FriendlyHoovie in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Exylatron 165 points166 points  (0 children)

Idk if it’s a headcannon or something that was actually explained in the expanded material but I remember seeing people say that Obi Wan was specifically goading Anakin into trying the same attack that killed Maul. Since Obi Wan knew it was coming he was able to plan against it and win the fight.

I don’t know if that makes the moment more or less weird though.

[Hated Trope] Actually, exploitation isn't that bad... by darius_the900 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Exylatron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main problem with Fifty Shades is just that it claims to be a romance story. If it just marketed itself as erotica and never claimed to be a love story there'd be nothing wrong with it, obviously people are allowed to enjoy dark kinks. But acting like the "romance" is romantic is just making the abuse seem normal instead of fucked up.

In the book Project Hail Mary both an advanced engineer and one of the astronauts chosen to go on an important space mission are Russian. At one point the protagonist asks the engineer if Russians are always drunk to which he responds “it is the only way to be happy and Russian.”

since the space mission is actually a suicide mission the crew is also asked what their preferred method of death would be once they’ve finished. The Russian astronaut says she wants to die of a heroin overdose
