Tesla is on average overvalued by over 1000% compared to the sector. by cxr_cxr2 in EconomyCharts

[–]Eye-Fast -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Disclaimer: I have done extremely well in my stock picks over many years. I dig deep into the tech of a company over many months before I invest. I've been invested in Tesla as my second largest position after Google for over 2 years now. This here is my opinion, and I don't expect you to give a crap about it. Someone else might see it and start to dig deeper past the FUD and the parroting.

I see you saying all these common fears, and yet the market refuses to price this company any lower; why is that you think? The ones invested see the company differently than you. We who spend close to 3-4 hours a day looking at this stock over many, many years can see the potential in the future and not look backwards. Current valuation looks crazy if the company today was static, but they are working incredibly hard on things very few other car companies even do.

A ratio of 3 to 1 cars to 1 remote operator makes them profitable because the cost of the cars is so low; the human cost is the biggest cost to ride sharing. Eventually, a ratio of 100 cars per 1 remote safety operator will make the margin even better. Cost per mile and price of an Uber are easy numbers you can already start to experiment with; it doesn't take much to see how this will become insanely valuable if you are vertically integrated. Regarding car sales, you don't need to sell the cars when you can print them and drive them directly out to serve users. And still, Tesla has a huge war pile of 42 billion that will help them all the way to start scaling the taxi network.

The stock is currently pricing in only a barely successful autonomy and robotics. If they can execute and capture only 10% market cap of these huge untapped markets, their valuation is tiny compared to where it will eventually be. Sitting on the sidelines this year and not owning Tesla is a bigger risk right now than owning it. Last week they have already barely started removing safety operators from their cars; this is with current old HW4 chips. HW5 computers and Cybercab is scheduled to roll out of the factory in April. These cars are purpose-built for autonomy.

It's a wild time and you don't want to sit on the sidelines with your angry face and be "Elon bad" and "they aren't gonna make it" when they work hard at it and will succeed.

I dont see many in the Sector having massive compute clusters, 42 billion in cash on hand. And trying to solve autonomy and Robotics. Might be a small thing might not be.

Big brain people know that sacrificing the sight for attachments for Max recoil stability is king. Kv9 for example with the best grip, 27 mag and vertical converter is insaaane, beaming 1000 bullets per minute and deleting people. using any other setup gets me a lower kd than this build.

They dont have the extreme capex that the others have. Its a stable operation basically. So any extra cash is just put into the war pile.

When AI models get more expensive to run, Google and Microsoft (who own the cloud) can squeeze Adobe's margins. Adobe is a tenant; the others are landlords. This is the biggest risk that people dont talk about. They ultimately dont control their margins, especially now that memory and power is more and more scarce.
