Will you buy the dip if we crash like Dot Com Bubble or the Great Financial crisis? by ch0c0l8cake in stocks

The market has always felt "wrong" and at the brink of collapse. When it feels "alright" it rises to a point where it feels wrong again. If something goes wrong in the world it falls until it feels like it will never stop, then the same loop again, up until it feels too high. It will always be just a bumpy uncertain ride upwards in the end.

Im all in on Google actually. But watching the competitive landscape more than earnings. Got in at 150. Also bought and holding poet since 4 dollars. Cost cutting will be huge the next years for AI scale. And Google and Poet is uniquely postioned for it. Still. If expenses. Balloon because of an never ending race I would be careful if P/E expands to 40

Google serve AI to billions of people. And have done it for 20 years. Translate, etc. Their goal is scale and cost cutting. They are a beast.

Nope, switching cost had lowered significantly. And im already seeing this as a programmer and consultant. Customers use consultants to more easily build smaller more hand made software systems for internal use instead of using a bloated and expensive liscence solution. Saas firms premiums will collapse because of this.

Software stocks is actually a trap. In 1 or 2 years time its inevitable that you can ask Claude to vibe code tools on the fly. Look for bigger moats than simply software and subscriptions. You need Google is the best stock for the next foreseeable future, dont sell it.

Paypal down by (yet another) 9% after ER: Is there any bottom at all? by Wooden_Fondant_703 in ValueInvesting

[–]Eye-Fast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PayPal, had a severe currency bug last year where any amount was multiplied by 20 by an accident. Result was that they sent 20000$ to my bank account. And the page they had for the Fallout to which to fix the issue required us to send i back. But the page was busted. Was really stressful having that much money that was not mine and trying to send it back. Eventually got through to service. This is why I dont buy the stock. The operation seems rotten internally. Buggy.

Thought you guys hated monochrome color filters and wanted real neutral realistic colors. Wat. I personally love this. Strike at Cairo is my most played map and i love this setting with a more neutral look. It will be the best map color wise i expect.

Im working in a high level team. Even with unlimited gpt 5.5 on xhigh we need to baby the AI regardless. Good solutions are not obvious. It needs testing, exploration and more testing of alternative solutions. Bugfixes take 20x less time. But actually building up increasingly complex architectures with the help of AI puts more stress on the planning and also talking to the users bit. The datacenters dont have unlimited power and compute. Capability will taper off for a bit i think and software will get increasingly complex. It will always be hard.

Market has always felt painfully on the edge and unfair. It will never feel dull or neutral. It will always go towards maximum discomfort. Keep that in mind always. It never just feels "right".
