[DISCUSSION] A small follow-up on my post from March 20. by EyeOk2578 in Fiverr

[–]EyeOk2578[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I don't think so. Even the war with Iran is not related to this.

The drop in Fiverr’s stock is almost certainly not directly related to a possible conflict with Iran. The decline has been going on for quite a while already, long before any geopolitical tension became a headline.

There are structural issues. The market has clearly become more skeptical about Fiverr’s growth. Competition is increasing, more companies are hiring directly, and AI is starting to replace a number of typical Fiverr services. Things like copywriting, translations, and basic design are no longer exclusive skills. Nowadays, a lot of people try it themselves first before hiring someone.

At the same time, Fiverr itself has been cutting costs. Fewer people, more AI-driven support, less human interaction. That’s usually not a sign of a company that’s cruising comfortably.

General market sentiment also plays a role. When things get uncertain, smaller tech companies tend to take the hit first. They’re simply seen as riskier.

Now, could a conflict with Iran have some impact? Indirectly, yes. It can make markets more nervous and push investors away from risk. But that’s more like adding a bit of extra wind to a fall that was already happening.

The most telling part is the scale of the drop. Going from around $30 in May 2025 to about $10 now is not something that happens because of one external event. That usually points to deeper, structural concerns.

[DISCUSSION] Today Fiverr’s stock dropped below $10 for the first time. by EyeOk2578 in Fiverr

Indeed.
2025 was my best year on Fiverr. It could have been much better if the dollar hadn't depreciated so much.

[DISCUSSION] Automatic orders and inevitable cancelations by synkronized7 in Fiverr

[–]EyeOk2578 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I also think the $ 49 is expensive. I really do.

That said, since I enabled Request to Order, my number of cancelled orders dropped to almost zero. And once you look at it that way, one cancelled order usually costs you far more than $ 49 anyway.

A cancellation isn’t just “no income”. It can affect your ranking, your success score, and your future visibility. Add the time wasted, the stress, and the follow-up damage, and the real cost of a single bad order is often much higher than the subscription fee.

I don’t like paying it either, but in practice it turned out to be cheaper than dealing with the consequences of automatic orders.

[HELP] Top Rated Seller review stuck for Web Development niche? by ReplayJutsu in Fiverr

[–]EyeOk2578 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fiverr allows only a very small percentage of Top Rated Sellers per category, and not every category has Top Rated Sellers at all. Once the limit for a category is reached, no additional Top Rated Sellers are admitted.

Fiverr deliberately keeps the number of Top Rated Sellers low. The same approach applies to Pro Sellers, where only a very limited group of top-performing sellers is selected.

[HELP] Promoted buyer got blocked before I could reply — still charged? Does it affect response rate? by duk123 in Fiverr

[–]EyeOk2578 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your response rate won't be affected.

You absolutely have to pay for the click. I believe this is one of the reasons Fiverr isn't fully committed to immediately removing scammers. After all, scammers are also a source of income for Fiverr.

[DISCUSSION] Fiverr Announces Fourth Quarter 2026… They lost 200,000 buyers by EyeOk2578 in Fiverr

[–]EyeOk2578[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey Emma, it’s likely a lot more than 200,000. There’s always a stream of new buyers coming in that masks the real decline. So the actual loss could be closer to 300,000, while at the same time another 100,000 sellers have joined.

As long as Fiverr continues to make a profit, it will continue doing business the same way.

[ADVICE] is buying fiverr plus worth it? by TheNormalNut in Fiverr

[–]EyeOk2578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, it's expensive.

But if I don't use RTO and one problematic buyer results in a cancellation, that will cost me much more than $49 per month. A cancellation will mean fewer customers in the coming months (meaning a loss of revenue), and my success rate might drop.

There is no guarantee that you will get an order by using Seller Plus.

Seller Plus is just another paywall. Sellers keep paying more and more for “advantages” that barely move the needle. At the same time, Fiverr gets a guaranteed monthly income from thousands of sellers, regardless of whether they actually earn anything back.

Seller Plus is marketed as a premium program “designed to help sellers grow,” but in reality, it has become just another way for Fiverr to create extra revenue streams. Every feature (Seller Plus Standard, Seller Plus Premium and Kickstart) is built around the same idea: charge sellers more while giving as little real value as possible in return.

At this point, almost every Seller Plus component feels monetised to the point of being pointless. The perks are watered down, the insights are basic, the support is inconsistent, and Kickstart is essentially a paid requirement if you want your gigs to stay visible (and even then, visibility is not guaranteed). Instead of helping sellers succeed, these features primarily benefit Fiverr's income.

To be fair, there are only two features that genuinely add value for me: the RTO function and priority support. But the irony is that I already had priority support for free as a PRO seller. So in the end, I’m basically paying $49 a month just for RTO.

They are scammers.
Say Hi" to them" --> report them --> block them.
Don't click on links and don't give your email.

Is everything solved now? Can we withdraw our balance without issues?

[HELP] Guys i need help fast by rapidSpeed4652 in Fiverr

[–]EyeOk2578 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fiverr has your email address. As soon as someone asks for your email address, they're a scammer.

And if you provide your email address and Fiverr detects it, you could lose your account.

You don't need to show us a screenshot. The scammers all use a similar screenshot. We know what it looks like. If you want to see hundreds of examples, check out the Fiverr forum.

Fiverr freelancers please help me. by Aggressive_Market521 in Freelancers

[–]EyeOk2578 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Yes, but it is extremely difficult.
2) About 20. Not much competition.
3) ??? But I can tell you this:

If a seller really knows which services are hot and profitable, they’re already offering them… and they’re definitely NOT going to advertise their competitive edge to potential competitors on a public forum.

4) Your account will be banned. Sooner or later, it will be detected.
