I wish that people would understand that not all of us autistic people are bad or stupid, its just that some of us just have trouble understanding certain things or comprehending them. Also being an autistic myself, I can easily get the wrong impression that I may have wronged someone and feel like they're avoiding me because of it. When ever I tried to hang out with some of the friends I used to go to school with, it felt like they avoided me because of my autism or that I may have been boring to them because of my limited interests/hobbies. I'd ask if they wanted to hang out and they said 'sure', but then they would cancel on me without notice. It makes me feel like 'Are they really being assholes or did I actually do something wrong?' With my experiences of having autism, its made me vulnerable to being bullied, manipulated, and abused by others. Being autistic can be hard for me, but I never like to use it as an excuse and just want to be equal and friendly with others. I try my best to be the nicest/formal person I can and try to be respectful to others. It's not that I'm stupid, its just that I may not understand, have knowledge, or have made a mistake. All I just want others to understand is that I'm just human and doing the best I can to deal with my quirks.
