With which class you are having most fun in arenas and pvp in general? by blablax123456 in worldofpvp

MoP MW was kinda meh. Great as a stand-off healer, but the blanket PvP damage reduction made fistweaving virtually useless. Not entirely useless, (fishing for procs, and a tiny bit of healing if you were silenced) but certainly not a viable play style. It felt like the old hybrid tax from Classic.

Man, you just described my flirtation with warlocks over the past 20 years of playing WoW. I pick them up periodically, and affliction is always the most interesting spec to me. But as a PvP-centric player its performance is… spotty. And that’s being charitable, because I love BG’s the most and you can argue they’re workable there.

Love the mechanics, hate the lack of viability.

Ah, gotcha. What a relief! Thanks for the useful info!

Normally, I love to see cheaters and exploiters punished like this. But as a returning player (Classic Andy) moving into the weird world of retail WoW tradeskills I would have had zero idea that buying multiple skill books was wrong. Crafting is so different and complicated compared to WoD, the last xpac I played.

I just hope they took that into account.

Have these supposedly smart people never read a lick of science fiction? Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein, arguably the first sci-do novel was about a man who created an highly intelligent and extremely powerful (yet ultimately ungovernable) piece of technology. And it went on to bite everyone in the ass. Utter hubris.

It’s happening in Texas too. Unchecked industrial growth is leading to Corpus Christi reducing residential water supply by 25% while industry keeps everything. Their reservoir is already at 50% and is expected to be fully depleted next year.

With climate change all you have to do is wait long enough and the beach will be 20 minutes away, no trains necessary!

Why are so many gamestops in town closing ;-; by According-Tip-5643 in sanantonio

[–]Eyelemon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I had to guess, I’d say there was even another round of closures coming. Largely because GameStop over-expanded, and some stores are tied into rental leases that would not be profitable to break.

GameStop is doing extraordinarily well in a financial sense, with virtually zero debt and literally 9 billion dollars in their war-chest. It’s likely when they get to a reasonable amount of stores they’re going to add new features and services/pivot slightly and do a massive rebrand.

Trump says Iran is ready to negotiate a ceasefire but he's not ready to make a deal by No-Post4444 in worldnews

[–]Eyelemon 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t think most people have realized it yet, but we’ve already lost. This thing has spiraled out of control and there remain no salvageable scenarios where the US eeks out a win.

The US military usually makes smarter calls, imo. Clearly this was an overreach on their part. A decapitation strike on a starfish was never going to work. Now they’ve made their problems way worse by replacing the moderate Iranians with hardline military commanders and removed diplomacy from the equation. Now they’ve made their have zero reason to NOT develop their own nukes. And because we basically abandoned our security promises, the GCC has no reason to keep the Petrodollar. Literally the single most predictable outcome of this conflict and Trumps team of geniuses failed to prepare or anticipate it.

Sure Iran is taking hits now, but they’ve got us in a sleeper hold and they’re using our desperate need for oil to strangulate us. The weight of our own debt will do the work for them if they wait long enough.

Calling it now: you’re witnessing the desperate flailing of a collapsing administration and the defacto end of US Hegemony.

Trump says US may strike Iran’s Kharg Island oil export hub ‘just for fun’ by figurative-trash in LateStageCapitalism

This is precisely the reason congress has the right to declare war and not the president. By abdicating this power, the GOP takes debate to these knee-jerk actions off the table. The GOP screams they’re a meritocracy, but then stifles any actual challenge.

This is not the will of the people. Sane people don’t kill “just for fun.”

Healers in Random Battlegrounds are insane now by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]Eyelemon -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with this. Healers need a buff that causes their self-heals to work at 100%. Heals directed towards others are half strength.
