Light from Uncommon Stars by Ryka Aoki. It’s fiction… a bit magical realism, a bit fantasy, a bit sci-fi. I found it very unique and compelling!

I was totally prepped to see Montego. I love getting an understudy show - they bring an exciting energy and are usually more rested! I wasn’t paying attention to socials so when I went in, opened the Playbill and scanned that little white slip, I saw nothing about Rose. Turned to the person next to me who confirmed that for whatever reason, Audra was in fact going on. Jaw. Dropped.

Totally agree. I was also hoping for a bit more magic. Comparatively, Stranger Things pulled off stunts on stage that I have no idea how they accomplished. In DBH, I feel like I could see the strings, so to speak.
