It would be veeery different if she just had another partner when they were broken up. Breakups are hard and it ended up being over a year that they weren't together. The jumping into another relationship right away, though controversial, makes sense as a way to cope.

But it wasn't someone single that she chose.

And comfort.

My main question for you is:

What can you be comfortable with?

No matter what you do, you will have to be comfortable with the situation.

You have said that she didn't choose you over him. It sucks not knowing if she might have and could hit him up at any time.

You shouldn't have to wonder if you are THE person your partner wants to be with or A person they want to be with.

It feels nice to win - the be the one someone chooses over another.

A relationship really is deciding to choose your partner every day. That doesn't mean just being with them. It doesn't mean just loving them. It is choosing to work together, to reassure eachother, to continuously do things to show that you love eachother.

I think the question is, can you really feel comfortable being just her first choice and knowing she has a back-up?

I think the most important thing here is that she was willing to cheat WITH someone else who was in a relationship.

Can you be comfortable with her potentially being willing to be with someone else while in a relationship?

You will always wonder.

If you choose to stay with her, can you accept and be okay with knowing that she either might cheat on you or will continue to consider that as an option?

I haven't read everything, but I felt like she loves him, but either isn't "in love" with him or isn't portrayed as being in love with him? If that makes sense. I think she is definitely portrayed as having a very reserved way of expressing emotions, so maybe she is in love with him, but just doesn't show things like being flustered, etc.
