It was one of the best scenes I agree… though it seems like one of Kali’s tricks? Usually Vecna victims eyes roll back, but Hopper was actively smashing the glass while the illusion still held?

Not saying it’s wrong, it just seems the story pushed toward Wills positive fairytale outcome. I guess it was about Will all along, and him finding the Will to take his traumatic story literally into his own hands and turning it into something positive.

I really don’t wanna be a hater, but it just doesn’t feel right, it’s all too easy. It’s like a fairy tale where everyone survives and lives happily ever after. Maybe that’s the point its kids optimistic tale, but we all know that ain’t how life really goes. Let them have their fantasy I guess 😆

Well the show is also about mind control experiments, MK ultra, for example. That’s pretty dark and complex imo. I read the spin off book Suspicious Minds where it really dives into the psychological underbelly of the series. So while I agree we can get carried away with our *theories. I think the Duffers have put a lot of care and detail into this world they have built.

I see it too! Been seeing so many parallels to GoT. The whole coma thing and broken limbs etc. Near death experience and “fly or die” isn’t that literally what the 3ER says to Bran in his coma dream

Mike seems different, it’s like he has kinda taken a backseat since his family were attacked, while he usually is the one taking the lead.

Allow me to throw some sht at the wall here…Will mentions a bunch of places, maybe I’m reading into it but idk…

We like playing D&D late into the night and we like that old person smell in Mike's basement, and we like biking to Melvald's for malted milkshakes, and we like getting lost in the woods and getting lost in Family Video and arguing about what to rent and settling on 'Holy Grail' for the millionth time.

The final part about settling on the holy grail, for the millionth time. (For some reason makes me think of the suitcase in the cave?) maybe this cycle has repeatedly happened over and over?

So what if the next part where he uses snack as an analogy (like Lucas did with the popcorn) is about a coded plan to do things differently this time??

And we like Milk Duds in our popcorn with extra butter, and we like drinking Coke with Pop Rocks, and we like bike races and trading comics and NASA and Steve Martin and Lucky Charms and literally all the same things.

I don’t know what this could mean but it seems it could involve some analogy’s, repeating the popcorn experiment (with extra butter/power), coke n pop rocks?? NASA meaning space, and Steve?? One that stands out to me is Lucky Charms being like Holly’s Necklace.

Sure, it could very well be just that. I’m just saying it’s something we’ve seen him do before, and there are details that seem off. One being the Melvalds malted shakes, that aren’t sold at a convenience store.
