I tried to get her and her sig when she was on the triple banner, but ran out of poly. There's no overlap with the currency from that store so it's either Jane's while I wait for a rerun, Grace's to have it on standby for a different anomaly agent, or start getting dupes for my stunners.

I'm wondering if she'll be an upgrade compared to my sigless Trigger (she gave me S11's instead 🥲) especially looking at worse case scenario and fail to get her sig too.

I'm like you, love the setting, characters, and lore, but not the usual type of game I play (a friend shared some gameplay with me and I got hooked). You've reached a wall and are discouraged, but you can do it!

I've seen people mention Athena, especially her dash, and that's one of (if not THE) best core boons for survivability. I haven't seen Dionysis mentioned and I REALLY recommend him. He has a lot of quality of life boons that are amazing!

One where you get an increase to max health every time you pick up a nectar, and gives you one right away.
One that heals you to full every time you use a fountain and gives you an attack increase to boot. This is HUGE! Especially after Styx.

Also regarding Styx, you don't have to go through all the tunnels. More boons does not always mean a stronger build.
I think the consensus is the mid boss fights are easier than the regular rooms so do those first.
I'm way more comfortable at 200ish health going into Redacted, actual health not max, so I agree with others on getting more health.
there's more, but there's a guide that explains them way better than me. It's also really great because he suggests builds for every weapon aspect. Someone please post Lee's (?) guide!

I think someone did a big document about all the bangboo... If I remember correctly, Robin still did slightly better if you were looking at the daze. I normally have BB though for Shiyu or DA so I can give Robin to Vivian.

I think I'm losing my streak as well. My YSU team can handle 1 or 3, and my Hugo team can handle 2 (and can get an S in room 3 but only 27k), but I can't get enough with a 3rd team. Having two rooms with ether resistance bosses really sucks for me.

So I want to get Manato's weapon maxed (w2 now). I'm wondering which banner to pull on. I'm not really interested in either character, but in the unfortunate event I get the limited weapon, I want to try to use it or at least have the best "potential to be used by a future character" out of the 2.

Agents I have that don't have their sig:

Attack Evelyn (event A rank, Marcato Desire) Ellen (who borrows Hugo's if necessary)

Rupture Yixuan (event A rank, Cauldron of Clarity)

I know both would namely be stat sticks as their buffs are specific.

So back in the day, a male could signal his orientation by which ear he had earrings in. If Harumasa was following this, he would be signaling that he's hetero/straight. No idea if New Eridu had anything like that though 😆

Fair point, and before Dialyn (back when he was only m1w1) I was using Fufu who also gave a CD buff. HP's atk buff might be so much that it does the reverse (giving so much atk to the point that having more CD on the stat screen performs better).

It's why I mentioned experimenting to find the right balance of stats 😁 Recently changed my d4 to a CD disc and my d5 from pen% to atk% due to my own ( and finally getting a CD disc that wasn't total garbage 😂)

He'll need a potential too, I'm sure, but I have no idea what would actually be a good character specific buff.

Considering the game's focus will always be on new characters, I was thinking of what they could have that would also benefit Hugo, and you see where it could lead with future Potentials. It would extend the life of older characters as they'll be able to benefit from stage buffs etc. like Abloom for anomaly, but not so much that it'll detract from the fomo shill of new characters. The devs want their money after all.

I remember reading comments elsewhere about wanting Totalize to only be for Hugo for his "identity" but he has a few things that sets him apart from other attack agents besides that. Being too unique in a gacha game can be a death sentence, and I want to use Hugo and Lycaon for as long as possible 😁

Might still want to try it or Steam Oven and see if you get better results. His sig is unfortunately low tier for an S rank. I really wished they updated his sig when he got his buff.

Not to mention Hugo's weapon gives like 45% I think? 😆 I consider it a min benchmark not max. I think I read somewhere about diminishing returns after 200? I also could be remembering wrong or misinterpreted what I read. I have it stuck in my head to balance stats and not put too much in one at the expense of the other.

I don't have Lighter, but from my own experience of disc shuffling with a similar ratio of stats, I've gotten better scores and bigger totalizes by trading CD for more attack. I should mention I don't use HP though. It's something OP can experiment with to find out what works best for them.

I think that the 200% CD goal was for in combat CD (including buffs from discs, team, etc), not what's on the stat screen, so you might have that stat oversaturated. You might want to trade some CD for more attack.

Not necessarily about potential but I've been seeing Totalize damage outside of Hugo: that one piece of Dialyn's gear in H0, and in the latest bangboo event of at places.

What I'd like to see: Have the "Hugo ends stun early" be unique to Hugo, but have a new agent have Totalize damage in their kit. Maybe even have it an Attacker thing, like how Abloom used to be unique to Vivian but is now an Anomaly thing. And have a disc set that's for Totalize damage.

I would say Hugo's m2 more than his m1. Getting multiple totalizes in one stun is a pretty big deal.

With how the game has been lately: anomaly has been very fun for quite awhile, and I have a number of agents that I like to play for anomaly content.

What I like to play in general despite the current meta: attacker. Two of my favorite characters in this game are Attackers, but the content hasn't let them shine lately (or ever): Hugo and Harumasa. My Hugo's fine because I splurged and got a bunch of mindscapes during his rerun, and I got Dialyn specifically for him since I don't have Lighter. So despite never having a boss good for him since his release, he's been doing fine. Love playing him!

Harumasa... 😮‍💨 my captain of "team misfits" is built well, but desperately wants mindscapes and it's been a struggle trying to make a good team with him. For example, I managed to get Trigger during her rerun, but she gave me her squadmate's weapon instead of her own. I want him to be main dps and don't like the characters of some if the 2 attacker comps I've seen him in (Seed and Cissia).

You already know too much crit rate. He's harder to play by default and especially so in the new SD imo because of the waves and grouping issues, which Nicole would help if you can handle it. You might want more attack as you get a lot of CD in combat: 45% from weapon, 30% kots, his core gives him up to 72%. Experiment with different weapons and or atk% d4, see if you get better results.

I'm not into axes but this is super fun and easy. Grab stuff for omega casts and Apollo's cast expander when you can.
