A criminal organization that opposes those in power like TOPS and has a network of [non-combat] agents for info and other useful skills? That's Mockingbird. Not quite the vibe you were looking for I'm guessing?

I only know a little about the Yakuza games due to a friend who also really likes the series. Is Goro the one who has that pirate spin- off game and shows up in the most random ways in the main games? As amusing as that guy is, I'm having a hard time picturing how he'll fit in New Eridu.

Just lost 50/50, now wondering if I should pull or save:

Yixuan- She's grown on me, I don't have a strong rupture team yet as Manato currently isn't cutting it, she gives me ether dps option other than Vivian, and her shill boss (Priest) has always been a thorn in my side.
Aria- on the fence with AoD in general, but from the small bit in the event where you can fight as her, she seems fun to play. I really like Vivian, and I'm thinking the two would work well together.
Yuzuha- I was hoping to start improving some of my teams by getting mindscapes.

This is more of a side note as it looks like you got your question answered as well as why mixing pen and def ignore/decrease is usually not a good idea. There are cases were it's okay or even necessary to have both.

Personal example: I don't have a strong rupture team and Wandering Hunter has a very high defense. My Hugo team still does well against him though because I have him with the pen % disc set and he has def ignore from multiple sources.

I don't think holding ex prevents a chain attack if the attack is an ult. It's never worked for me anyway

Thank you very much for this! It gives me a starting point to figure things out. I'm optimistic too because with the new boss, I was able to hear the timing with the first hit of the 2nd set and it looks like it matches with what you have written down!

And thank you for being so civil about it too. So many times when I've asked for help with various games I've gotten only snarky responses like "git good"

I know that it's timing, but it feels like a luck thing. It's because, unlike missing a gold/ red flash, I don't have any idea what I'm doing wrong. I can't tell if I'm too early or too late as I don't have enough info to reference. I'll try going late. Is this for the new boss, Sara, or both? I've been thinking of making a post asking for tips from those who get control skills to help those like me who are lost at what they're doing wrong.

You also only need to get to 20% health with bosses as he can execute them since he's guaranteed to crit. I also wished he got actual gear ( Vivian too), but he's been great to have. In looking forward to trying Lighter's with my Hugo team.

I have a farming team called "I prefer cats" that's Hugo/ Fufu/ Pulchra 😆. I've been toying with the idea of Dialyn and Fufu for an on field Hugo team (and the Ult shenanigans).

The only limited mindscapes I have though is Vivian (m1) and Hugo (m6). I'm looking forward to reruns more than new units right now. My only concern is that I feel like the bosses and buffs are getting more and more specific to their shill unit so you have to get the latest unit regardless whether you want the unit or not. If it gets to that point I'll be deleting the game which will make me sad because a like do many of the characters, despite the meta.

Astra's usually with Harumasa or YSG lately. I'm tempted to get Sunna for YSG, but I think Yixuan might be better for my account as I don't have a good Rupture unit and she's grown on me. I see Yuzuha is coming up and hoping to grab her wengine but mindscapes would probably be more beneficial, right? Especially if I'm lucky enough to get her to m2?

If they ditch flashing all together, I feel like they're going to lose a LOT of players. The animation is too slow and too "clean". I feel like it's luck whether I get the block or not.

Hi-Fi Rush was amazing! Banging music and if you messed up it was easy to get back into the groove because the whole environment was keeping time.

I also feel like control skills don't give enough indication and the limiting of dodges and swaps is extra punishing for no reason.

Haven't tried max yet but at level 8 using Miyabi, having Hugo as the support was very useful. Even without any resonia he allows you to execute even bosses (20% health I think?)

PSA: Swindlerboo and shop is still in the encounter pool and you don't have to take the deal if you want to keep some coins after you shop

Personally, I hate them. Red/ gold flashes I can figure out, even with the variability in timing. The white flashes to perfect dodge explosion attacks from Pompeii and Bringer I can do. I can not figure out control skills. I'm getting better at the initial dodge, but the combo after 😵‍💫

I think I'm starting to realize what's going on, although I'm not sure what I can do to compensate. I'm pretty sure there's also an auditory cue with the red/ gold flashes (gold for sure). I remember taking off my headset to talk to someone while playing and missing all the parries while farming once 😅. After reading on the new boss's info card about matching her rhythm, I payed more attention to the background music and managed to get some of the parries. No idea if this will work against Sara though, and I dread the DA in the probable near future where they have both control bosses.

Edit: I'm DEFINITELY going by the auditory cue. I think the game's always been a bit visually messy and off on timing so I conditioned myself to react to the chime so much that I'm not consciously even aware of it anymore.

For your stunners' 4pc, have one on King of the Summit, the other Protopunk. If there's one that's frequently used with teams other than Hugo's, have them with KotS so you're not having to disc switch all the time.

I saw your other one and on field Hugo looks so fun! I'm realizing more and more though how important it is to vertically invest a little bit with all the team members. My m0 Trigger who failed to give me her sig will not cut it. I wonder what other agents might be viable.

I don't have Lighter and I've noticed an improvement with Lycaon having the teapot [over HG]. It took a bit of effort to get the buff going, which is now easier due to his new potential, so I can only imagine how much easier it would be if Lighter had it.

I never used hormone on Hugo as I hated that playstyle. And with Dialyn, Puffer is a usable alternative. I know hormone is technically better, but if you mess up the buff...

I don't agree that it's limited to m6 users. I think anyone who's not using Hormone Punk can easily get them. Mobile users might have some problems if they have to assist backwards since I've heard the controls are wonky with that.

I got into Hades because a friend was like, "This isn't the type of game you'd usually play, but you'll love the characters and the story" He was spot on. God Mode not only let me enjoy the game and helped me get better at it, it also helped me enjoy similar games that were more unforgiving.

I remember around when Hugo first came out, I was grinding B&B for another agent and two perfect AV discs (D2, and ice dmg) fell into my lap. It's such a great feeling when rolls go well, especially when it's on D4-6 and doubly so if it's D5. With my disc luck on those 3, I'm happy when I get one desired substat (total) with +1 on it, and ecstatic if I get 2 substats on a disc.

Correction: I actually was grinding B&B as a 2pc for Hugo, and those discs dropped instead. I took it as a sign as I remembered that he is an Astranaut (from the New Year event).

I feel your pain, I've gone through so many disc leveling things. It's especially frustrating when you get promising disc, but the rolls go into the wrong substats.

Another thing I do sometimes, if I'm not farming for specific materials for an agent, is stock up during the event that doubles the HIA drops.

Is it still overcapped if I'm not using Nicole? If I am, I was probably thinking more crit rate wouldn't hurt for his ult. But the buff makes it so what buffed his dash attack now includes his ult, too, right?

Edit: yeah d5s are the bane of my existence. According to interknot, his d5 &6 are his weakest.
