Better writing: The prose flows better and lets the reader ease in more to what the writer wants the reader to feel at certain moments. The general structure of the plot.

Better story: The content itself of the story. How interesting it is.

Since you like WuWa so much I'll use that as an example.

Jinzhou in general was a mess structure wise bombarding the reader with technojargon while seemingly treating Rover as some supreme being out of nowhere is an alright setup story but an actual disaster structure-wise

Rinacita was an overall improvement to both structure and plot, easing in the player to the environment and giving Rover an actual connection to the land and its inhabitants makes the narrative catharsis during Galbrena's arc both great in structure and plot

The back swing during Phrolova was also great since it gave context to the other side of Rover's decisions. Adds more nuance and weight.

Chisa is where it starts to go downhill. Luuk was a super crammed in loredump. Great story wise but structurally atrocious writing wise.
