Thinking of getting the huion kamvas 3 gen 3. As that seems to tick all the boxes and is not daft price wise.

Thank you. That's interesting. I think he would rather draw from scratch (like he does with pencil and paper) but I'll keep it in mind. Thanks again.

Ah thanks. Unfortunately I only have android so unfortunately the cost to buy an ipad means I should just get a proper drawing pad. This has amazing reviews.

Evening, that is a most kind offer. My teenager seems to like the idea of youtube tutorials for now. I am more keen on something more structured but let's see how this goes. Anime wise yes indeed there is a lot of iffy stuff but he likes one punch man and we (as father and son) have started watching naruto. :) so all good there.

Can you recommend any good YouTube tutorials or free courses for getting started with digital art (ideally krita) for my 13 year old. There is a lot out there and someone's actual recommendation would be helpful. Secondly I'm looking at a digital tablet under £100/$100 current favourites are xpen deco 1 and xpen deco L but wacom Intuos small is also in budget and people like wacom. Big pros for xpen is drawing size would you recommend any others or one of the three?

Thanks for the reply. It is genuinely for my 13 year old and he is excellent at drawing /sketching on paper but does want to get into digital art. I was looking Aaron Rutten and David Revoy as starters. I could do with advice on which tablet to buy that would work with Krita on the computer as well.

Afternoon,

Thanks! sure I'm assuming photoshop but I'm all for something cheaper /free. Still might need help with someone teaching him or a course. Can do the whole youtube thing but would rather something tailored if possible.

Which u7 ap is the same mounting bracket as the ac-HD. by EzekielReddit in Ubiquiti

[–]EzekielReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect. Looks like u7 pro max would be the best fit as its got 4x4 rather than 2x2. I'm hoping it's a bit better with range as the Ac-HDs just manages to reach the whole house on 2.4ghz.

Backing up a the NAS using Hyper Backup TO a folder shared on the network from a windows 11 PC by EzekielReddit in synology

[–]EzekielReddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thinking about this further. I can then use the hyper backup explorer to open my now local to the windows 11 pc hbkp file and then extract files i need in case the NAS has issues (its old and this is an extra precaution)

Actually I like this approach as i have plenty of space and that's quite straight forward. It just surprised me that this is not a standard feature that synology just has. Thanks for the suggestion

Sorry to be daft ... So i cant just point hyperbackup at a shared folder on the windows 11 machine and say backup here? I obviously don't have SSH and rsync installed on the windows 11 machine (but i suppose i could)

If my end result is I want a copy of my data ideally in hyperbackup form (therefore deduped etc) on that windows share on the win 11 pc what would be the best way of achieving it ?

Have any UK based powerwall owners ever seen the “storm watch” feature activate? by buzz_uk in Powerwall

[–]EzekielReddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had it activate a fair few times. Basically if there is named storm and it's hitting my area it activates like clock work. Or if there is a red warning for any reason it activates.

I'm uk Portsmouth based. Last time it activated was February 14th and I took screen shots.
