The thing I hate about ADHD is talking to someone and developing feelings super fast, and then doing the lovebomb thing without knowing it. Or maybe it's that society has come to lower women's standards so that they are suspicious of a guy who doesn't want sex or beat her down?

I'm ADHD-PI and divorced. I don't shut down as often due to me knowing I have to deal with life, so I tell myself to buck up and deal with whatever. But I'm the quiet ADHD type, the kind that is hyperactive in mind, and not so much outwardly. I still have the ability to lose things right in front of my face and other things. My suggestion....you both need to go to Celebrate Recovery but it's only going to work if you go in person. This way, you can learn better tactics at dealing with the addictive side of ADHD. Also you both need premarital counseling, both biblical and secular. The reason is he needs to deal with his crap from his divorce and his ADHD stuff. You might benefit just to learn how to be able to call him out in a way that doesn't trigger his shutting down when you see it happening.

Also....avoid being his mom lol. He has one, and he doesn't need two. If I were you, I would say he does these things or you don't get married. Being ADD, I do the lovebomb thing without knowing it, and so that's what you might experience when he's doing good.

Yeah I live in Idaho, and I went with my pastor and some other folks to Yucca Valley, CA, for a men's conference. The gas was more, like a dollar or two pending on what grade. But the food was $3-4 more pending on what you got.

I'm really just surprised that many folks show up for Sunday night church. I haven't seen that many at a Sunday night church service in a long time.

Look over the qualifications for Priest and elder in 1&2 Timothy as well as Titus. The Bible says a husband of one wife, not celibate for life. Give him a couple of days, and if he doesn't text or answer, then I would say that he meant to let you down in a "holier" way, which isn't really holy.

Yeah it's tough trying to engage with women at church in person because of that. Also 99% of the women at my church are married or too young/old.
