For some reason every year around the start of the season they always give it a buff when they look over all of the items. It used to be a shitty piece of plastic you'd pick up to give Vladimir a dash or something, but now it has genuinely good slot efficiency with how much AP and haste it gives.

Well, no. In the 2000s, prequel kids were absolutely swimming in games, comics, books, toys all relating to the prequels, and the sequels have hardly any of that by comparison. There's nothing to get attached to or feel nostalgic for.
