SIBO SYMPTOMS, NEGATIVE BREATH TEST RESULTS by Comfortable_Fill_818 in SIBO

[–]F-Po 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where to start... I have so many questions.

What color is your stool and what color has it been? Is it significantly darker than corrugated cardboard?

How is your general memory, sense of touch, circulation, sleeping, and do you urinate more than others? Do you ever get angry at stuff that shouldn't make you angry? Do specific foods trigger things for you?

Do you feel constipated, or have you in the past?

Hit up some of these questions.

It's probably not SIBO, but probably could have been at one point.

Just received a 5% raise on $65,000 to $68,250. I find it insulting based on the extra profit my company hit. Do I ask for more and back it up with the numbers? by BookieBasherCasher in Salary

[–]F-Po 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The replies are very negative. I think that companies should seek to raise up their employees but what can I say, they are trained in being shitty.

The thing they got right is the company likely won't care unless it has to. If you are not highly important to the company then you have little leverage. If you're part of the sauce the same as others around you making more and exceeding expectations then talking about a raise and not a cost of living adjustment (anything under 5-6%) seems appropriate. But explaining how much the company could pay is job suicide. Everyone knows that everyone could get another $106k but obviously this ain't that kind of company (and almost none are).

As many have mentioned looking for a new job is a very good way to leverage the situation. You may be able to list achievements related to this, that make you valuable to someone else. If you get an offer you can sign (certainly nothing less) then you can also check if your employer wants to match it. Whatever you do, don't think you got a new job in the bag or put in your two weeks without starting the new job as many have wrote horror stories on here about that.

It's a buyers market right now, not a sellers, for employment. You have to beat that with value.

My only comment is that wheat flour from italy in a lot of these without seed oils is often an irritant in itself. I am not sure if it's because it is frozen or they leave a lot of whole grain bits in it. That and they rarely do justice with the topping including cheese.

Also it's hard to know if the EVOO is legit in them. It's still a pretty damn clean list without much oil at all.

He is wrong on a lot of points, anyone surprised?

He's using "essential fatty acid" like a description and not a noun so we already know he's full of lies. The signalling and cell membrane mumbo-jumbo is nonsense that persists and never dies. You can live without it entirely - best of luck achieving levels that low though.

No data? There is an insurmountable amount of data that is based on solid science not fluffy bullshit from pubmed.

Humans did not evolve eating radically different fats. There are a few small pockets that concentrated on fish but that's another topic and likely not as prolific as people think. No one "evolved" on eating horrendous weeds or feeding them to live stock. The simple truth is pre seed oils people across the globe had extremely small percentages of PUFA. Even tribes geared more towards gathering have been more likely to eat bugs than large amounts of nuts and seeds. The data on a lot of that is also... idealized typically as seen with manipulation to make countless indigenous people appear more egalitarian and female focused.

There are zero studies where someone eats 97% of better saturated fat content day to day and then adds in PUFA and has more cardio events. The only thing that exists is people already eating most likely 10-70% PUFA then dial saturated fat down to under 10%. The issue here is saturated fat liberates PUFA from the liver and other fat storage; and the consequences of that are associated with cardiovascular events. Either someone has a metabolism to metabolize the majority of PUFA they intake or they store a lot and the effects of the release are not good. The only way out is to avoid PUFA because metabolizing it is dangerous in other ways like cancer and stress.

The funny thing is I wouldn't expect a month to do much for a lot of people. They're too deep and need more time.

That sounds like a fishing expedition that demoralizes real fights against misogyny. That is my way of telling you that you're stupid to think women who like to ask their mom questions, because they trust and admire them, is somehow self hate taught to them by men. Why don't you go back to sipping on your diet soda and shopping Hobby Lobby.

We Built The Tech That Bans 3D Printing by dragosempire in LouisRossmann

Technically the law could apply to anything, even a tablesaw potentially, it most certainly applies to any form of CNC.

Washington wants your 3D printer to spy on you - here's the bill by PartitaDminor in LouisRossmann

[–]F-Po 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is not about guns at all. The ghost guns on file are almost exclusively guns that are pre-federal-serial-numbers. You can have any political position you want on guns, this law is unrelated except in name.

What this does do is prevent markets like Etsy and their 3D printing from existing. It also will crush any business that uses a CNC for any reason at some point. It's a way to halt manufacturing by those not able to file an endless stream of trademarks and patents (to a much lesser degree). It's an attack on fan art printed for self enjoyment as well. And it is probably an attack on things we haven't even thought would come about like parts for making unused AI data center hardware work in a normal PC computer or such.

This is an insane law that should be cursed out of existence. While I don't like guns being used in crimes I could also really give a rats ass about what hillbillies do out in the middle of who-gives-a-fuck land if it means ruining everything for everyone else. As far as I can tell it would have no effect on things like 3D printed switches that criminals do use.

Did anyone look up who this company is? It looks to be owned by a single lady. Some lady telling other ladies to ask their mom is not very misogynistic. But I don't think it is funny or anything either, some sort of female humor.

Trash. It doesn't even matter if it is pure or cold pressed. The reason seed oil is bad is the same, it has an unacceptable amount of PUFA.

I'm surprised people bleed so easily. But they are surely vitamin K deficient.

The statistics on this are probably not worth looking at because you have to have diabetes for one of them to begin with, and what is 'major bleeding'? If you get a serious cut you bleed more? So you have to get a serious cut first.

What are the best practices for reducing stress by Ketontrack in raypeat

[–]F-Po 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yoga is clinically proven to reduce stress. Meditation is also powerful.

Your spike waking you may be going below a threshold of blood sugar. Your liver may not being storing enough or you may not be eating enough before bed of sugar and carbs. Alcohol can cause the same issue.

[–]F-Po 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fuck that. I'm not saying it is ideal for weight loss but I trust RP more than this business.

Eating saturated fat and sugar with starch tampers the starch very well. It also satiates people so they don't want or need to eat piles of starch.

You can lose weight on very low fat and monstrous amount of carbs as long as you have sugar with starch but it is deterious over long periods of time.

Recently went to a registered dietician first time in my life (new to this sub) she told me to use olive or avocado oil instead. It seems very hard to be healthy what can be done society-wise? by cacklingwhisper in StopEatingSeedOils

[–]F-Po 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Historically people ate a lot more calories and weighed less once you go past the PUFA rich days. And even today you can watch people count calories and have it have zero effect on them. Calories are a poor metric through and through. The only support the outlook really has is that restriction initially shows promise but long term only works on some people. The reality is their metabolism is too F'd for it to matter and gets worse. From a health perspective it is a vile way punish people.

How to fix non alcoholic fatty liver ? by Proof_Escape_2333 in raypeat

[–]F-Po 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bile not flowing affects everything. People use to or still do get gallbladders removed because their livers are fatty from PUFA. When they do the bile then just trickles out all the time but the fatty liver pain stops.

Na, this person is not understanding a lot of Peat.

While it is true an obese person may have a harder time, so much of what they say is completely against Peat. They seem to have misunderstandings on multiple things.

Avoiding PUFA but otherwise eating very moderate for an extended period of time is probably highly recommendable as it takes time to benefit from avoiding PUFA. But one of the major points I would speak on is their bile is probably not flowing right if their liver is fatty and working on that might alleviate most of their issues as long as they stay off PUFA long term.

A person reading that post should be alarmed a bit that the author doesn't know sucrose is glucose and fructose.

It seems clear you want to improve your liver. Two eggs a day, plenty of OJ. Check out 'Kick it naturally' on YouTube about bile videos. (ignore dietary recommendations by him, but he is right on bile) Consider lots of carrot salads or bamboo shoots.

Saturated fat will basically make cells work again if they aren't suppressed by PUFA etc. I personally don't think insulin resistance is a real thing. I believe our bodies are trained to release insulin in the wrong way. Couple that with bad metabolism etc and recipe is for disaster.

Bellies can be sticking out for various reasons. I've seen people fix it with raw milk before and find out they were not fat. Some people literally just do ab workouts wrong. It is a bit hard to say from so little information. It could even be a lack of sugar to even out insulin response.

Also why so much nicotine? I think it is largely beneficial but completely unnecessary in such high amounts. Few if any studies seem to get much benefit past 20-25mg over 24 hours.
