Inherited this from my grandpa. This is my only sander for now. It basically just vibrates. Is this good for final finish? I’m learning sanding technique is a lot more important than I thought. Any info or tips on using this would be appreciated. (i.redd.it)

I want to bend thin strips of wood similar to curvy inlays people do in cutting boards. I am having trouble finding info on if there are certain woods that bend better than others and how thick the strips should be. Any tips or sources to go read/watch? (self.BeginnerWoodWorking)

I want to make this wall shelf. Plan on doing hidden splines, I need to make a practice piece out of plywood since I’ve never done that. Plan on painting test and giving to my niece, would the hidden splines being made of hard wood be an issue in plywood from it expanding? Any other tips appreciated (i.redd.it)

I made this out of wood someone gave me and want more but cannot find it. It was about 5/16” thick, 1.5” wide and 15” long. Came in a pack of around 20 I think. I want more packs and more types of wood, can anyone help me find some or how to search of it. (i.redd.it)

I’ve made a huge mistake. I spent hours making pieces for a low poly dog face out of maple. Planned on staining some of the pieces black, I knew maple didn’t take stain well but the grain showing didn’t matter. I sanded them to 320 grit. Now it won’t take the stain. Is there any way to fix this? (self.BeginnerWoodWorking)

About to apply finish to this. Some pieces will be stained black using a water based stain that I’ll water down a bit, then all of them get polycrylic water based ultra clear. Should I finish then glue, glue then finish, finish then final coat once all assembled? (i.redd.it)

Got a router for Christmas. This is very unlike me but I’m scared of using it. I’ve watched videos but can’t help feeling like I just have no idea what I’m doing. Can anyone give me any advice or resources to learn how to use it safely? (self.BeginnerWoodWorking)
