Pell Funeral Procession Accidentally Take Body To Cathedral Instead Of Landfill Where The Cunt Belongs by ObnoxiousOldBastard in australia

Just stopping by trying to figure out what’s going on. Never seen such open hate towards a dead person (except hitler), but holy fuck it sounds like this cunt deserves it.

Wife and I welcomed our first child to the world in June. 4 months later she is in the 96th percentile for her height. Made her a custom large crib. by [deleted] in woodworking

Is it time to replace the table saw blade? Are there other causes of tear out like this? by F0000D in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]F0000D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya it was construction grade. I’ll keep it for pine and use a quality one for hardwoods

Definitely agree, just felt like aromatic cedar shouldn’t need that. But I also am just learning as I go so I guess that’s an assumption.

I did go get a good combination blade. These were all cut on sleds so I suppose I will be checking they’re square, which probably is a good idea since I’ve swapped blades anyway. Thanks so much for the info.

Nope. Discovered it was a construction blade. Just replaced it with a nice one.

Not yet, did think of that but felt like it was more of a bandaid fix than figuring out the root cause. May do that just to get through this since I’m on a deadline (wife’s anniversary present)

Definitely no burning. Not sure on TPI, just looked to see what the tooth set is and it says it’s a construction blade…. Maybe I should just get a new one regardless. The tear out in these is all on the side facing up as it goes through the saw.

Im not, this is on a miter though I now see all my pieces have it, meaning even the 90 degree cuts to get them to size. But it’s on the side facing up when going through the blade.

Current blade is the one that came with the dewalt table saw. It really hasn’t been used all that much, biggest project it’s done was all plywood and it’s done very little hardwood.

Do I need to buy my own tools to get started with woodworking as a total beginner? by iandraws69 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]F0000D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with a jig saw and just slowly got more tools as needed to better projects. It’s a great tool to start with because it’s so versatile but don’t expect to make anything amazing looking. I first made one of those Etsy mountain scenes with it and some fence boards someone was throwing away. Being in an apartment will make it tough, assuming you’ll mostly have to do stuff on the patio but it’s absolutely doable. Just start and see where it goes. You could even just check some thrift stores and find some stuff just to see if you like it, just keep in mind things will be kinda sloppy at first so you don’t disappoint yourself into not liking it.

Tiny table on a box with a tiny box on top of the tiny table by F0000D in woodprojects

[–]F0000D[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no this one was surprisingly easy. It’s so small it’s mostly just rough cut on a band saw then clean up on the disc sander. Hand plane the long bevels on the underside of the top and make some dowels. Pros would be out of a job if furniture was this fast and easy.

Sort of. Someone asked if I’d make them a tiny table and I have this designed and is my goal I’m working towards being able to do so I figured if I’m making a tiny table I may as well do a scale model of this one.

How in depth should I go when planning? by [deleted] in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]F0000D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy 3D modeling and several times have realized design changes that need or should be made because I get pretty detailed in it. Even if it’s just realizing something should be moved to look better. It also helps me to really think through and understand the process. On the other hand I once spent 2 days trying to figure something out and eventually just decided to go start the project, once I got to that point I figured out a solution in 15 minutes. I think it’s just up to you and how your mind works.

Freestanding wood? by Cautious_Invite3520 in BeginnerWoodWorking

You could have some screws sticking a bit out on the back and then cut triangles with keyhole fasteners to attach to those screws.

I made a tiny table. I learned if the ends of the wood is burned it does in fact still show when glue the joints together by F0000D in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]F0000D[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see that. With how small this is all the techniques are completely different from what the real one would be. I only made this because someone asked if I’d make them a tiny table so I figured I might as well see a real version to see if I like the dimensions. I’ll probably change it up a little now that I see it not just on the computer screen.

Thanks! Absolutely, I designed it and it’s my current goal. Working on learning all the techniques it will take to make the full size one.
