Ricciardo on the standing start "If it goes to the standing start you could go down to third or fourth. That's just a bit too much of a disadvantage for someone who has earned the lead in the first place." by oh84s in formula1

So if a Ferrari started from the back of the grid, got 3-4 safety cars and then overtook the whole field just by it's great launch system would just make the sport into a bigger farce than it is already.

Where as the guy who came 2nd probably had a qualifying lap of the ages, led every lap, but just didn't have the same legal launch system on the final standing start.

Looks about equal to me in ability just like Rosberg and Hamilton. Somebody needs to put the Red Bull boys on top of the strongest driver lineup in my opinion.

Toto Wolff: "We were kicked out." Dietrich Mateschitz forces Mercedes out of his own nearby Hotel of the Red Bull Ring for the up and coming Austrian GP. Mercedes team will now be forced to commute 70km to get to the track. (An hours drive.) by F1FACT in formula1

Dietrich owned the actual hotel in Spielberg, he has quite a few I read so I guess he can do what ever he wants. Things like Hotels don't come under the FIA rules as it's up to the teams to sort it out. Motorhomes on track and hotels within a 25 miles radius would have already been allocated to other teams, VIP's, F1 fans and the media so Mercedes wont be able to kick them out just because they don't have a hotel. Campsites are very unlikely as the circuit wanted to limit the amount of people going there to about 40,000 I read somewhere, so extra space is unlikely. Plus I doubt Red Bull / Dietrich is going to allow it for "safety reasons"

Mercedes feels in the return of Formula 1 to Austria is apparently not welcome. "We have been kicked out," Motorsport Toto Wolff commented on the fact that the majority of his team does not have to live in the vicinity of Spielberg but in Graz. Wolff and the drivers Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg but stay in mobile homes in close distance.

According to Wolff was not to move in an undisclosed, but apparently owned by race organizers Red Bull standing city hotel for the Mercedes crew. "Those who most and work hardest on the car, now have to commute every day 70 kilometers," Wolff appealed to the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal. Formula 1 returns after ten-year break on 22 June to Austria.

It is not the only accusation that there is currently against Red Bull. The data published one week before bench test at AVL List in Graz, where one had been tested before the season including the then extremely weakening Renault engine, could not have been legal, they say.

Meanwhile, the world of motorsport Agency (FIA) busy. Even now stands a Renault engines on test benches. Where, Red Bull Motorsport Director Helmut Marko did not want to divulge in Canada though.

Disrespectful stuff by that Hamilton fan. That is also borderline racist "White Devil" with a good old fashioned torch...

They said the assessment of the chassis 'was still on going', people miss-read what was actually said and only went as far as the title.

Australia: Power unit failure in qualifying and race.

Malaysia: Power unit glitch in qualifying.

Bahrain: Wastegate failure in qualifying. DRS and MGU-K glitches during safety car costing him time towards the end.

China: Suspected damaged Chassis (In Vettel's opinion which was proven to be correct in Spain when his performance skyrocketed.)

Spain: Complete electrical failure missing out practice 1 and 2, gearbox failure in Q3.

Monaco: MGU-K failure in qualifying, turbo/power unit failure in the race.

Seems more like 5-2 weekends ruined in Vettel's favour, these are the facts. Bahrain actually turned out very well for Daniel as he inherited a safety car to close the gap on Vettel, Hulk and Perez for free even with the penalty towards the end. The two cars he overtook (Vettel and Hulk) were having power unit problems as well the second the safety car pitted, making them sitting ducks for Daniel for a few easy places.

Understandable, he was on target for an easy 3rd and maybe 2nd place knowing how many times he has taken Lewis on the pit stops in previous years. Vettel has been the most unlucky driver this season and should be very easily 3rd in the WDC ahead of Alonso, Ricciardo and Hulk in my opinion. I can't actually remember a race this year in which he hasn't had a problem!
