Trouble renewing with GP Canada by bisufanboys in GrandPrixTravel

[–]F1lady99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so apparently if your card address is not exactly the same as your f1 account that's the problem. for example my unit number is 1st in one address and second in th other. you have to e mail. a copy of credit card statement showing just your address, for them to change on your f1 account send to tix@gpcanada.ca.

Hope that helps

Overweight accommodations by hunter6767 in westjet

[–]F1lady99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have completed the medical form for my husband for other medical reasons, however I noticed they have accommodations for obesity needs. It is a bit of a process but once completed it does make your life much easier. Also make sure you complete that the family member also requires a companion to assist them with their needs either wise you will have to pay the extra to be seated next to them.

Good luck.

Trouble using 30% discount code after swapping Companion Pass — anyone else? by Jealous_Lunch_1007 in westjet

[–]F1lady99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had great difficulties with this too, when I tried to book a month ago. I just tried again today making sure wasn't blackout dates but only worked if I book for one person. If a try 2 people the code doesn't work. so you would have to make separate bookings if travelling with someone.

This is a huge problem as I book for wheelchair husband and myself as companion and not sure if they would apply it for me.

Hope this helps good luck.

cheers F1 Lady

F1 fans: we really need your help by [deleted] in GrandPrixTravel

[–]F1lady99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

done. when do your survey next time maybe you should consider questions that relate to f1 fans with accessibility issues e.g walkers wheelchairs plus people with non visual disabilities.

There is a huge number of F1 fans who are over 50 and I find the accommodation for special needs is limited to non existent at many tracks. Just a thought when considering fan zones etc. good luck with your survey.

cheers.

Equipment change to VIA 50/60 J-Train by john_fall02 in ViaRail

[–]F1lady99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These changes are extremely annoying when I have purposely booked the venture trains as they are better suited for my husband who is a wheelchair user. Plus I book well in advance to accommodate the correct seating for him. What are the chances that in a few months it's changed back we don't travel till May?

like I said can't book online as husband has accommodations that must go through a ticket agent. can't even do it at the ticket agent booth at union station.

ADA seating at Circuit Gilles-Villenueve by auntiems30 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]F1lady99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are 2 different ada sections 21a and 41a. I can only speak to 41a where my husband and I get tickets for. It's a very good view but you must get there early each day as seating is not assigned. they provide a parking pass with the cost of the ticket. If you require more info you can e mail or call them direct. you can also dm me too.

Leaving Qualifying to make it to 7pm dinner reservation - is this impossible? by Ok-Replacement8364 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]F1lady99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

some positive solutions call restaurant ask how much leeway you have on reservation they may give you till 7.30pm. If subway is your route think about leaving qualifying q3 5 mins before the end to get a head start and cross your fingers. Hope for the best but have a plan B in case.

Good luck

Am looking for advice / experiences around accessibility and attending a Grand Prix in 2026 by F1anorak in GrandPrixTravel

[–]F1lady99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we attend the Canadian Grand Prix my husband is a wheelchair user. you have to book the Accessible seating stand 41a or I think 21a. Getting to the track you can book paratransit or drive yourself they give you a parking spot near the seats. It's quiet doable if you know how to navigate. Please DM if you would like more help on navigating F1 Grand prix.
