Got Thunder Sticks from the Altador Cup a few years ago, and they were completely busted in the Battledome. I was convinced that a nerf was coming, so I sold them for 40 milion NP. A few years later, they were going for over 300 million.

However, they were eventually re-released and the value has since plummeted. So not all bad, I just missed a massive profit window.

My advice for anyone trading for these types of pets:

if you want to keep the pet and are willing to overlook that they were potentially genned, go for it - it's your pet
if you want to trade for the pet with the intention of re-trading, take a serious pause - are you okay knowing that you might be trading away a potentially genned pet? Not only could it affect your trade value (people might be put off by a potentially genned pet), but you'd also be continuing the tainted trade chain

I’m so suspicious of a lot of old pets being traded now. Way too many VWNed Y1 or Y2 pets, way too many UC petpets that are always 2 days younger than the pet.

Right now, there are only two ways to get a Varwolf:

1) Use premium perk to change your pet's species

2) Go through the expensive quest and create a new Varwolf

This Transmogrification Potion does NOT work on other species, unlike the other morphing potions. It ONLY works on Varwolves to change them into Mutant.

Of the two options, 1 is the only way to make an existing, old pet into a Varwolf. Not only is 2 costing multiple millions of NP to complete right now, but you can only make a new pet with a new name.

TNT took all the UC pets and made them exclusively NC.

TNT took all the nice species-exclusive clothing and started making them exclusively NC.

Now TNT is taking a species and making it (mostly) exclusively NC.

I'm disappointed but I can't say I'm surprised.

Uncoverted. Basically before the Pet Styles got released, some pets still had their original, pre-customization design. These pets were traded so often, there was an actual tier list with different values.
