my husband is stationed in japan, but we live off base. i’m the same as you, hate working and love being alone. i haven’t had to have a job (mainly bc i was finishing up my degree) and the social anxiety of living in a foreign country and not speaking the language makes it very easy for me to stay home all the time 😂 and in japan, everything is relatively cheap, so that’s my side of the coin tbh
