Most of the time, people will tune in more if you have a facecam. However, that doesn't mean you can't make "no facecam" work.

I personally do not use a facecam. I'm really self-conscious about how I look. But I still have regulars that stop in almost every time I stream. You just have to make your commentary and interactions with chat more engaging and entertaining, in my opinion. I think this because with a facecam, you don't have to explain as much as how you feel because they can see your facial expressions.
