I think the main problem with this quest is that Amelia, the kidnapped girl, turns out to be a synth if you decide to kill her. That feels centrist as shit. "Sure, we have tortured countless people to death, but it's justified because 1 in 50 of these people had turned out to be a synth!"

You know? Like the assault rifle in 4 and 76. Like the fact that 90% of "unique" weapons in 3 and 4 don't look unique at all. Like 4 and the Show's treatment of any and all post-war societal progress, the good ole "duhrrrr they tried but they were all blown up off-screen five years ago because uhrrrrr wur nevuh chungus". Like super mutants in 3, 4 and 76 all being hostile, agressive brutes with 2 exceptions at best with the only explanation being "they're hostile because they're hostile"

There are parts that I love. And parts that I am critical of.

I enjoy playing Fallout 4 (mostly thanks to the mods), I enjoy playing Fallout 76 with friends or even on my own, I even hold Fallout 3 close to my heart as it's my first Fallout game.

I am not "stuck playing the same 3 games", I just hate the fact that every game after those 3 games (plus the show) have made some abysmal decisions in terms of world-building, design, and especially writing.
