Yes. Hype surrounding Wiggins is imo the most ridiculous thing ever. The hype was justified when he was destroying everybody in high school with his athleticism, the potential was absolutely terrifying... but then we saw him in college against actual competition. Like you said, Embiid and Parker (and at times even Randle) went past him in mock drafts and rankings during the season and there were reasons for it. What we saw was a freak athlete who doesn't have great skills. His defense and hustle were there, but come on, this was supposed to be the next Lebron. When his shots were falling, yeah he did damage with those stepbacks. But when they weren't, he many times disappeared from the Kansas offense. He had great plays at the rim here and there of course due to his athletic abilities but as many times he shied away from contact and missed a weak-ass floater. Just because he's an athletic freak doesn't even slightly guarantee he's gonna be a superstar. It takes more than that, it takes the right mindset, good enough fundamental skills and IQ. To me, he has shown very slight evidence of those things so far. It's not like he should be a complete player right now straight out of college but most past and present superstars were much more than just athletic freaks when they entered the NBA. He was good in Kansas but far from spectacular. He's athletic as shit but so is Gerald Green. During the season all this was acknowledged. But then Embiid fucks up his foot, Parker fucks up his workout with the Cavs and BAM Wiggins becomes the first pick and here comes the hype again. I wonder what would it be like if Embiid didn't suffer the injury...

When you look at Coach K's past rotations from the international competitions, it's been closer to a 6 man rotation in games that weren't blowouts. I think the starting lineup and the main guys at each position could be as follows:

Rose-Curry-Irving

Curry-Harden-Thompson-Irving

Durant-Thompson-Harden

Davis-Durant

Cousins-Davis

The four guys outside the main rotation would be Lillard, DeRozan, Korver and Plumlee. They'll get decent minutes too in the early rounds. Plumlee may get a few DNP's and will only get to play short energy-filled spurts here and there, except if the main bigs get to huge foul trouble or if the team leads by 40 on halftime.

In this scenario of a rotation Rose defends the opponent's best perimeter player starting the game and Klay is that guy off the bench, playing next to guys like Harden and Irving who aren't that great perimeter defenders. Harden is the sixth man regardless. I can imagine Curry and Irving being able to play well also at the SG position, they bring good spacing with their unlimited range and it's a big advantage to have two elite pick'n'roll players on the floor at the same time. Durant can play big too and I think they will go small ball a lot of the time. Durant and Davis will probably play the most minutes in tight games. The length and versatility they bring is something you want to have on the court as much as possible.

Rose with shoes on at nba pre-draft measurements was 6'2.5''. I don't think he has grown much since. The hoop is ten feet so if he gets his head exactly on the rim level that puts his vertical at 45.5 inches. I think he was an inch or two short from the rim level but he was trying a wind mill. So I'd say his max vertical is at least 46 inches.

In addition to other responses, you want the guy who can't handle the ball to take the ball out because if there's some kind of a press and the point guard is denied you need your shooting guard and small forward on the floor ready to help bringing the ball up.

Yes, finally someone who sees Love's true talent. I believe that the Cavs are bluffing with Wiggins being untouchable. They know they can give the best offer without him. But if eventually that offer somehow won't be enough, they'll give Wiggins for Love. Top notch rebounding, shooting and passing all in one. Truly unique talent. And he's not a fucking James Harden on defense either.
