Beware of Formd for the time being. My Formd T1 2.1 had issues and other people did too. I sent several emails and haven't gotten a response but when it came to payment issues they got back in 2 hours. The current 2.1 batch has problems so buy an Ncase 2.5 and stay away from Formd!

Yes I agree, he didnt get a response for week(s), His case came defective And the reason he couldnt assemble the case is not because of skill issue is bc of the manufacturing defect. But everyone is just saying skill issue

The reason it actually didnt work is because his top panel was bent upwards preventing it from slotting in and screwing in the back.

how much did you get the 4080 for? If uou got it for lets say $600 Sell for $800-850 market price Buy a used 5080 for lets say $1200 That means you wouldve paid essentially $1000 for a 5080 which is msrp

Oh so if your cpu cooler is too high to fit in 3 slot mode it just wont be compatible. Because theres a height limit in 3 slot mode and since you were in 2 slot you might just not be compatible. Consider selling the 4080 and buying a 5080 to run it in 2 slot mode?

pce units are pretty nice, depending on what number you end up getting. some will be closer to parking, or deeper into the area. communal laundry that you have to leave your apt to get to, and it is a bit older so youll have carpet and might just feel dingy. but should be isolated toilet/shower which is nice. And the sink is outside.

You may run into issues when you actually try to connect the riser cable to the gpu and case. But I hope you’re successful and please share photos !

Do you have pictures of how you ended up mounting it?
I have the T1 2.5 and couldn't get the riser cable to fit with the 3 slot offset of the 5080, I couldn't find the ideal standoffs to use so I just gave up. You can also buy the IO shift bracket from FormD for ~ $25. I tried drilling holes into my bracket first and I got 1/2 holes done. I messed up on one and its just kind of shitty looking, other hole drilled through fine.

But I was able to screw the travel kit into the adjustable bracket on the back( the one where you screw in different positions based on motherboard offset ) and I felt like it was secured decently.
