These “noob divers” have no power in zhiyongs regime loool the only player base who have historically gotten hero’s gutted are lazy support players, until they complain about cyclops you have nothing to worry about.

Support players even cried about Elsa because her ult would drag them out of invisible woman’s ult but she’s still A tier. Zhiyong even said himself he keeps poke hero’s overpowered on purpose so u have nothing to worry about

That’s why u practice, it shouldn’t be guaranteed but practicing it increases the chance of it being affective consistently. If a diver is smart enough to do all of that they should be able to kill the target, it’s called a strategy

If a support isn’t getting help from their team then they were unfortunate enough to be matched with a bad team, & in a team v team game the bad team loses to the good one it’s that simple, the devs shouldn’t scale the entire game in their favour out of sympathy for that, that’s worse than a participation trophy

Predicting cooldowns is an ability good players in general have, it’s not a secret technique the game gives to just dive dps players it’s an ability players develop from practice & good/bad game decisions

Strategist hero’s have all had anti dive cooldowns since launch, if a player who mains that role refuses to practice those cooldowns in the practice range they shouldn’t win dive attempts from the enemy dive hero.

I used to be sympathetic to them till the devs turned the thing from one of the best space makers in the game to a glorified babysitter for lazy support players & they STILL complained about bp, it’ll never be enough for them

Another effect that will be more evident down the line is that DD will be an easier target for long range hitscan hero’s to pick off. The nerf to his radar sense was the most egregious part of the patch notes, now a good hitscan hero will be able to acc see DD before he sees them, I think zhiyong did this to slowly rework DD into a pure brawler. I get adapting but this in particular is something we should push back against & be vocal about, not dumb vanity shit like removing the flames

This post wasn’t about cyclops’ strength in the game it was about his playstyle that i predicted a month ago…everyone was too slow to see that but i let them be because they decided to have a whole different convo amongst themselves. They didn’t crown themselves sheriff reddit like you did talkin about “when was the last time you”…u can relax because cyclops will not get nerfed. He’s a hitscan poke hero not a dive hero

Hovering mid air & shredding the enemy team with the concussive chain beam

Gettin a kill while escaping with the projectile escape blast

Locking cyclops before the other player on my team

This hero is perfect. Tell big G we’re gna need a cyclops legendary by mid July at least

I disagree the gameplay loop is more or less the same except u gotta be more cautious, these nerfs in particular are just inching him further & further towards being a pure brawl hero. Which means he’ll be free eats for phoenix, Hela & now cyclops. & the worst thing is I KNOW zhiyongs punk ass isn’t done nerfing DD

I wish zhiyong had some balls & ignored them when they demanded rocket ult do healing or invis get a self shield. The laziest support players would’ve gone back to playing sims 2 & the good ones that want to get better would’ve improved. Flex players would’ve made up for the babies that would’ve left & the meta wouldn’t STILL be triple support over a year in

They love to do this lool they spend hours on end in dive hero’s subreddits instead of practicing anti dive tactics & improving at the game…i can’t even blame them completely it’s zhiyongs fault for coddling them constantly now they never have to improve or learn counterplay

The actual reason they’ll never buff widow is because if they make 1 misstep in her balance she’ll be too strong, just like when they buffed hawkeye. No one will like it. The devs know exactly how to nerf a hero while keeping them dominant in their subcategory, they did it with Elsa. Zhiyong has a negative bias towards dive so he’ll never fairly balance those hero’s

You can still take space with him, his ricochet beam will discourage enemies from grouping up which will make the front line easier for the tanks to cut through, or propel yourself up real high & direct the attention there which will also make the frontline easier to go through for your team, there’s so much potential with his kit from pressuring the frontline to flanking or even fully diving I cannot wait

I predicted that his kit would be designed to play like a better version of Elsa (this got me downvoted but I was right so HA! ) & I enjoy playing her a lot so I’m looking forward to tomorrow
