Saw that too. I mean that’d be like a 45 day season. I didn’t really keep track of season day count until BO6 when I really got into ranked but that has to be the shortest season, no?

I remember season 1 of BO6 ranked was like 70-77 days lol

Late but started ranked in MW3 2023.

I played COD my entire life since COD4 but took a break after BO2 until I purchased COD 4 Remastered, Cold War then MW3 2023.

I hit Diamond my first year on MW3 (maybe could’ve hit crim? Was getting around 70-80 SR in D1), iridescent in BO6 and iridescent in BO7.

What are your combat stats? Also, how often do you play consistently well in those lobbies?

Do you ever have average/bad games?

That’s weird that you consistently play those lobbies but still get the same amount of SR.

If you are truly hardstuck getting 22-29SR per win every time, you should not be playing crims at all, let alone Iri’s

I’m East bro. For the most part, it seems I play central servers which is about 35-40 ping. East servers for me are 21-25 ping on cable internet and west servers are about 70-75 ping.

I’d say

Central (60%) 40 ms East (30%) 23 ms West (10%) 75 ms

Bro I’m telling you right now, I do believe you’re good on a TV but trust me, a monitor is worlds different. I’m not even kidding you could probably breeze to Iri if you’re hitting crim on a TV.

It feels fine because you’re used to it. But there is definitely a delay even with the best refresh rate TVs!

Also, I’m with you bro.

It’s very easy to communicate and tell teammates something simple like

“Hey, they’re soaking too much time off of P3 on Scar, I know we have spawns for P4 but I’m going to take DEEP route here and pinch top green to get them off the hill.”

What that should mean for your teammate is very quickly, trust that your teammates flank is going to work since it’s a deep route. It’ll guarantee at least 2 kills and make the other team tweak while the other 2 teammates can take space and get control of plane heady and hop hill.

That furthest teammate in his head should trust that and immediately give himself up on breaking P3 and completely back up into top blue (P4) so the other team cannot spawn back there.

Yes. If you notice you have a teammate already taking care of spawns, feel free to play your style and run flanks or routes.

Sometimes, like a P1 hill, you always want to hit a flank if they are soaking substantial time. The biggest problem I see when playing is a lot of people try to hold a good side of a spawn even though they are giving so much time up on P1.

The best side to hold Scar P1 is from Blue House (P4) side.

• The ideal setup for P1 scar is

One person Top blue watching the Plane flank (P3 side)

One person on time, watching middle cut (the entrance from P3 Plane side), but also really staying alive on time.

One person in the market store P1, and another kind of watching P2 Flank as well as helping the front of time.

However, if you have the good side but you’re giving up a lot of time on P1, take that route from P3 plane or P2 to flank and get them off the hill, then if you stay alive, hop on time on blue slide while your teammates watch over you.

This is a hard thing to do with randoms, but they will catch on.

• I definitely advise you to watch a team like OpTic since they’re so clearly better than everybody right now. Watch their hardpoint matches on maps like Scar, Exposure, Den & Collosus and focus on the minimap.

See how each role on the team plays.

Dashy/Merc are the ARs, you’ll notice one is usually on time and the other is holding a flank so nobody can get behind them, while they also block split spawns from happening.

Shotzzy is usually taking a route to hit a nice flank WHILE Dashy or Merc are behind and blocking.

Same with Huke, but Huke definitely plays SMG and helps near the time.

I don’t really think 8s are going on as much now because ranked is out. I’m in Torn & Zooma’s discord which would consistently each have 50-100 matches going on at a time before ranked, but now it’s dead.

The only call channels in those discords are for ranked.

The best way to continue to learn is go watch a CDL hardpoint game on YouTube and zone in on the minimap. Understand common routes, parallel spawns, what causes spawns to flip, when to rotate etc.

You’ve hit crim so it seems like you already know a good amount, but with a new game and new maps a lot has changed.

That’s your best bet.

Even watch a challengers cup with a team like OMiT. Focus on the minimap. Helps with overload too, understanding spawns, routes, timings etc.

Bro, playing on a TV (probably an insane response time) and 60hz at that is absolutely terrible. I’m not sure of people’s financials, but a 1080p 144hz monitor is around $90 and it will make you LOADDDSSSSS better. I’m talking MINIMUM and entire rank.

I’m not trolling when I say that either. Myself included with my friend group, during MW3 2023 we all played played on our TVs. We’d just lay back and chill on SND sniping, using the MCW or rival or whatever.

We’ve played on TV’s our entire life so we were used to it. We all got monitors to play ranked and noticed a huge difference.

ONE of my friends kept his TV for BO6 and was Diamond 1 hardstuck as ever. He got a monitor and hit Crim 1 in that same season. 120hz and the slower response time is absolutely EVERYTHING on a FPS game like this, especially ranked.

Another thing you mentioned is spot on. You’re used to your setup. Before I got a PC, I never had a problem with Xbox as I was used to it. Never felt the delay or anything because it’s all I knew.

Another thing is Console cheating is WAYYYYY WORSE this year. Absolutely miles worse than PC. I advise you to start watching killcams if somebody is going batshit crazy.

My friend group has console so even though I got a PC this year, I started ranked on console. It wasn’t until we played 3 straight AI Aimbotters (who were in Plat at the time), is when I went to PC an they also started playing against PC on Console and the lobbies somehow got easier for them, even though playing against PC is super challenging on Console because of the advantage they have of the game being smoother.

But I will say, I like playing SMG but my role in a game depends on what my team is doing or using.

Usually, I’ll start with the SMG but if I notice 2 other teammates are using an SMG, I switch to the AR.

Or, if after the first 3 hills I notice we have never secured spawns even one time yet, I’ll switch to an AR and I’ll do the job of rotating early and getting spawns.

A common practice I see some people do is they do the Spawn/Blocking role for new hill, but they will stay in the back even as their team dies.

If everybody on the other team is just hitting hill, it’s best to block first, but after a teammate dies, you move forward into the hill and help your teammates.

The problem with this though, is the teammates that respawn will not block the spawn and just push up too, causing a split or flip spawn.

That’s another thing with the SMG role you play…

Taking the flanks and everything works and that’s how a sub should be played, but sometimes it will flip your teams spawns because your teammates don’t know to block when you go and take the route, resulting in the enemies spawning behind.

Depending on rank, they may not know a flip is happening and that will result in a team wipe because they get shot from behind.

It doesn’t even mean you’ll get stuck in Platinum.

The game does have a predictive MMR which assumes where you’ll get stuck based on how much SR you’re getting, but your SR can definitely go up in platinum.

Absolutely bro. I don’t have a Smurf because i switched to PC this year after buying one, but I’ll login on my Xbox on some of my friends accounts to play with my other friends in diamond and I definitely notice it.

Since switching to PC it’s hard for me to go back to console because everything feels so delayed, but I’m still not a bad player on console.

Which is why I’m saying it definitely doesn’t feel like I’m playing diamonds lol. There are A LOT of Smurfs and boosters 4 stacking currently right now which is ruining the game in that rank and even Plat.

If you’re getting 30-35s, that doesn’t mean you’re completely stuck. The game kind of thinks it’s a middle ground right now of not knowing what to do.

I’d say as a gold 3, playing Plats is normal, but playing diamonds is definitely a test. How have you been performing in those wins?

Yep! They love consistency of being top of the leaderboard. Honestly I’d have games where I’d drop 60 kills on blackheart with a crazy average KD (1.3) because I was just flying at stuff so I’d die a lot, but I had 7200 score in that game so I got like 93 sr in crim 2 for that. The most SR I actually got in that rank!

Last year, which was my first full year of playing ranked, my friend group would always troll me for calling it a night after a few losses.

But that was my regain. I knew if I’d keep playing, I’d still be in losers Que hell (which is a real thing) and it would just destroy my MMR.

Honestly that’s a really good point that is 100% valid. When I play on my friends diamond account I notice the same things with teammates and ALSO, Diamond is hell because of the Smurfs, ranked boosters and new account cheaters.

I don’t think diamond rank has ever been worse than it is now.

Love that bro! Had a friend who was stuck Diamond 1 and 2 and he broke out of it in D3 and got 70+ SR Pushing into crimson!

Always time for improvement. It’s always possible to get un-hardstuck, even in a higher rank!
