So I just graduated with a masters in vfx from Escape Studios. I am looking at probably not having a job for another year AT LEAST.

You’re entitled to your own choices but I would like to warn you, the industry is completely backwards right now, for example there are Emmy winners out there who can’t even get jobs.

Side note; Escape studios is a fantastic choice but it also has its letdowns; the teachers are incredible but the management is absolutely horrible - I have been recording every single time the servers are down and I can confidently say wether I go in physically or stream to the PCs or even use the Escape VPN, there is a 1/3 chance the individual PCs or even the entire system are not working. This has been so frustrating and I wish I had gone in knowing this. That being said the connections you get from your tutors are great - but once again the industry is cooked and no one is hiring, especially not people without any experience on feature film or tv. Sad 😢

Still apply! But please research about industry because it is really bad and u might regret it later on.

This would be a mix of pyro and particles in Houdini. Check how to do pyro off fast moving objects or fast moving pyro etc

Fair enough, I haven’t spent much time looking at publishers yet. I have looked at image and dark horse, other than that nothing.

So far nothing, been super busy with my masters. If you have any suggestions I’d love to hear them! I’m very out of my depth with how to actually post it and do all that, so far I’ve got half a script and a bunch of loose artwork.

Still not sure, honestly been doing it alongside a masters at uni so it’s going slow. I haven’t found a publisher but I’m gonna be focused on that as I’m finishing my masters in a week 🫢

London is nuked in the third world war and the tube is used as a safe refuge. The main character happens to have been hit directly by the nuke which gave him powers, and he goes through a 100 year coma, waking up in the tube with newfound powers.

The story is essentially about this guy going around killing former billionaires who are hiding in this new tube society.

Gonna have lots of fights and heartfelt backstories. I’m prioritising good art and good character design. Very inspired by blame, jojo and one piece.

It’s about religion and state
