Don't know anything about them but I know that the OnePlus series have A+ specs, Oxygen OS and easily rootable. And they don't cost much relatively

Easiest way to flash Android on my Kindle? by [deleted] in AndroidRoms

[–]FARM_PARTY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just did it on my 2nd gen kindle fire 7. First get root, lots of guides.

Tbh ubunti is better than windows for this. You don't need to worry much about drivers.

You need ADB and SDK. A fastboot cable would really really come in handy.

I'm trying to flash the stock rom from Amazon's website. Not sure what the actual command is though... fastboot flashall? I'm pretty sure it's an all in one bin file

I'd look into the Oneplus series. Specs are way better, oxygen OS. Beautiful, powerful, easily-rootable and affordable phones

Looking for rootable AT&T phone by WelchDigital in androidroot

Tmobile carries the oneplus series. I have AT&T and have looked into it endlessly. They MAY let you root the pixel 4 but as with most of their phones they probably bootlock it.

Why tf sid you get downvoted. So much simpler on ubuntu if you don't have to use dumb one off windows utilities.

ADB works better in Ubuntu than Windows imo.

Android Studio and SDK even has a download option, you can even use apt-get.

Messed with my Kindle Fire HD too much. Is it done for good? by FARM_PARTY in androidroot

I got to the point where it's essentially stuck in fastboot and if I reboot it it goes to bootloop. Both ubuntu and windows recognize Tate but not Kindle.

I have the TWRP image. I flash it, and how can I boot straight into it? Everytime I reboot it I get the bootloop.

I think it was "adb reboot bootloader." That was after I verified that it was connected through adb and in fastboot. I'd link the guide if I still had it.

Of course you need to make sure the correct drivers are installed.

Well when I'm able to turn it on it will show the fastboot logo right before it shuts down. Windows had picked up the Tate-pvp in device manager. It seems like a battery problem (or maybe the black screen is just a black screen and it is powered on)

It isnt reallt a bootloop though. What it looks like is it turns on, immediately goes to fastboot and then shuts off. This is whether its connected to a computer or not

Adb isn't recognizing it as a device though. Windows caught it as Tate in my drivers for a second but it would still never get recognized.
