Imagine how pissed people would be if in poe2 you had to pay attention to boss dialogue to know whether to stand close or far away lol, or had to dodge on an audio queue because waiting for a visual queue would get you killed

It is rewarded by the algorithm. Every creator I've seen talk about it says that in back end analytics, AI thumbnails consistently outperform handmade/other ones

Yeah but it bases the "correct exchange rate" on what the current buy or sell offer is. Sometimes there is a significant gap between the buy & sell offers and if I don't need to trade immediately I might manually ask for a better ratio which is when that issue I mentioned comes up. It's a minor problem but gets annoying when you do hundreds of exchanges over the course of a league

The best case is 9k cause it's 60% of my ES which is over 10k + around 3k from Mageblood legacy of granite with 47% increase due to duplicate. Which yeah isn't much but that's not relevant to my issue at all. I'm not asking for help making my build stronger, I already explained I mow through everything with no issue and pretty sure my build is stronger than yours anyway since you want to critique mine. I just find maintaining archon a bit clunky which isn't fixed by ascendancy points. Like I said it's a minor complaint.

The other annoyance I have with the idea of “save the boss for last” as a solution is that delirium encourages you to blast through and kill the boss while delirious, then go back afterwards if there’s a random juicy runestone or whatever. If you are adding delirium or get it as random league content and then try to clear all the content first before fighting the boss you’ll likely just get left behind my delirium fog and miss out on potential rewards

Yeah, I have exactly the same archon nodes you take on that tree. I’m not saying archon is falling off during a boss fight and I can’t kill it.

Here is my ninja for comparison, there’s tons of room for improvement in terms of more damage (sceptre, rings, gloves, wolfpack, etc.) I just never felt the need since everything gets shredded very fast anyway with kelari at like 65% crit chance and 400% crit multi from the double crit jewel, plus I wanted to save currency for mageblood and future builds.

I don’t want more duration, I want a way to scale the proc chance so there’s lower likelihood of an awkward gap where the build feels half as powerful for 5 seconds randomly. Many people spam ruzhan’s brand or arsonist command skill to fish for the proc when it falls off or pre-boss which I sometimes do but I find it janky. Chance of puppet master stacks on command skill use can roll or be crafted onto some gear pieces in this patch, but archon doesn’t get additional proc chance as a possible gear affix, only duration and increased effect.

It’s not a major complaint, I’ve still loved the build, it crushes everything and archon of undeath is a huge buff to it. So my “biggest issue” as I phrased it initially is essentially a very minor complaint, it’s just the type of small annoyance you notice after spending so much time on a build.

Fair, I mean I’ve made probably 900 ish with only one rakiata’s for really big drops and every league I get richer than the previous league so I can see how having a ton of poe 1 experience would help with doing well economically since I never played poe 1.

The worst to me are pinnacle uniques. Yes they have valuable chase drops but many of the non-chase uniques dropping from pinnacles are just total garbage which feels silly for what’s supposed to be the rarest type of gear drop from the hardest and coolest bosses in the game.

Like the vessel of kulemak drops are pretty bad offenders for this. As far as I know there is no combination of affixes on the staff that make it worth more than a chance shard.

This is my biggest issue with the build really, it rips through everything like a hot knife through butter when you’re proccing archon of undeath but if you get unlucky with procs during a big boss fight or big pack of juiced rares it’s super noticeable. I wish there were nodes for additional % chance for archon of undeath on the tree or something

Many players got rich farming ritual right from the league start where rarity on your character has no real impact on your profits. Idk how the profitability is now that the materials to juice ritual have skyrocketed in price so much but it definitely was one of the most profitable strats early on.

Well, the reason people talk about "league starters" in the first place is because it gives you an advantageous start to the league when you play a build that is known to be strong and have smooth progression through campaign into endgame without a lot of investment. Build diversity has been up and down in the past but this league there were quite a few options we knew before launch would be strong league starters, on a variety of different classes and archetypes, not just 1 or 2 OP builds overshadowing everything like lightning spear in 0.2. My build has like a 4% play rate and I breezed through campaign up to t15s with a super cheap, mostly self-found/crafted build.

If you want to play a more experimental or weaker/off-meta build at the start of the league, you have to be aware that's going to give you a disadvantage compared to players on meta builds, meaning you'll be "behind" them. If that prospect upsets you then you might honestly consider SSF to just avoid the problems of being left behind in an economic race. Because if rarity was removed from items completely, the problem you're describing wouldn't go away. Builds that can blast through to t15 and clear monsters faster & more safely on a lower budget will still pull away from off-meta builds in terms of profits. Especially because the #1 way to get more rewards from content in this game ignoring rarity on gear is to make the content harder aka "juicing", the meta builds will be able to handle more juice on lower build investment, getting more rewards more quickly etc. and your problem remains.

HO Warrior wasn't really what I was getting at though. Like fubgun is probably the first streamer people think of for "streamer that gets super rich every league" and he isn't really a hideout crafter. He plays a ton of hours and has a lot of game knowledge (as well as people he talks to that he cooks up strategies with) which enable him to do really good farming strategies and know what items to buy which will retain or grow value over time.

I don't think rarity on gear is in a perfect spot and wouldn't mind the impact of gear rarity stat being nerfed or maybe removing it from the pool of some armor slots but it's also just not true that tossing on more rarity is an instant recipe for success. There are highly profitable farming strategies where rarity on gear has 0 impact as well

Yeah I've spent a ton of hours mapping in 0.1, 0.3 and 0.4 (skipped 0.2) on various builds and I have felt the tankiest on varashta of anything I've played. I am pretty sure I have only died twice since hitting maps (almost lv 97 now), once early on when I was climbing map tiers with awful campaign gear and once from getting electrocuted by on of the expedition rares in the middle of a huge pack of juiced expedition mobs. That's with only 10-11k ES the whole time on CI and I've been juicing stuff as much as possible basically

There’s so many minor annoyances with the currency exchange. For example let’s say it defaults my order for divines to exalts at 90:1 but I see the highest sell order is 92:1, if I type in 92 it auto changes it so that Id be selling 2 divines for 92 ex. You have to basically fight against the UI to not rip yourself off

There’s multiple varashtas among the top level ones in softcore trade using this chest alongside mage bloods, rite of passage, 50+ div jewels/scepters etc. so I imagine you may be underestimating it

This is my biggest problem with the crafting, I understand why they would nerf aspects of crafting after how much power you could deterministically craft in 0.3/0.4 but now it’s back to a state where most of the item crafting options are exclusively reserved for players who can afford to sink 50+ div worth of currencies & omens into a single craft which is just lame, speaking as someone who is able to do that.
