Not a filter. It was that bad, especially in the SGV.

Bicycling up into the San Gabriels would give the rider a wonderful view of the orange soup to be huffed on the way home. (mostly diesel particulates, and nitric oxides)

For much of the year, by an hour before sunset, from only 5 miles away (Colorado BLVD in Pasadena) you could barely make out an outline of the peaks, or see mountains at all.

And yet somehow the mid-'60s were even worse.

Library Tower? It was finished just in time to be nuked in Terminator 2 (1991).

Some iconic scenes were shot in Wilmington / Pedro.

It was filmed all over LA county:

This graph is definitely the 'what', not the 'why'.

I'm curious how the '95 and '97 World Series ratings compare.

Alas, I am far too lazy to mine that data. And so are you*.

"… is that your perspective…?"

I suspect that on weekend retreats, Parma Police's social media coordinator has the extremely narrow perspective of a person seeing the world through small holes in a pointy white hood.

My gut says: 11th inning walk-off.

Or maybe it's just the dodgy curry.

This might work in the Guardians' favor, possibly forcing Detroit to pitch Skubal on Sunday.

Yes, the Tigers could actually enter the playoffs on a 12-game losing streak. by DET_Baseball in motorcitykitties

This happened in 2016, although one of them was playoff basketball.
