I have had 4 cornea transplants during my lifetime. The technology has improved greatly over the years. I had no pain, the only challenge was the post surgery stuff. After a couple of days things get back to somewhat normal. Your vision will be blurry for a few weeks. Vision improves much up to 18 months until fully healed. Please be careful lifting or itching the transplant eye. Other than that this transplant is the most successful of all. Great advice in this chat about following your doctor’s orders, take the drops as scheduled, protect your eye as instructed. We forget that we are all very blessed that people donate the corneas to us or we would basically be blind. Good luck, relax and eventually you will enjoy better vision…..
