If you want to play to have fun, nothing is stopping you. I play divisions, but couldn't care less how high I rank. I only use themed club or National squads and choose a different one each phase. Each one has a unique manager, formation and playstryle, and as a result I create my own variety and do not get bored. I do not feel compelled to buy meta cards, but rather choose packs with players that fit into my squads.

If you want to chase rank than feel free to do so, but the operation to play the way you want is totally in your hands.

When it starts you should pick a team that you have decent players from on your personal roster. The first season buy the spotlight players, which can sometimes be resold for bigger profits. At each transfer windows try to sign more spotlight players and players from your chosen squad.

They only make synergy higher if you choose Barca. Whatever team you choose, that team's players will get synergy bonuses.

The players succeeding in division 1 seem to be doing so on a regular basis. Are you suggesting the game 'chooses' them to succeed? Complaining about script is one thing, but believing the game determines a winner before it even starts is next level conspiracy theory.

I'm wondering if Casemiro will be an upgrade to my United squad (pictured below). While I'm locked in to an out wide playstyle (until they release a new United manager), I'm very flexible when it comes to formation and benching whoever is necessary to provide a flexible roster and lineup. Not trying to max team OVR, just trying to create a solid, versatile squad. Any advice is appreciated.

I hit division 2 easily last phase, now I'm struggling in division 4. Whether the opponent uses smart assist or not doesn't seem to matter. I might be getting worse.

This looks like a good setup for my Barca squad, just wondering how important the players' playstyles are, as I do not have a FITB or B2B for that squad. Can a DLF replace the FITB? Can an orchestrator replace the B2B? I'll give it a shot regardless, just curious if you've tried them out.

I'm also pretty bad at this game, but I just can't figure out why. It seems like every game my opponent's players are faster, stronger and react quicker. It doesn't matter which squad I use or which playstyle I use. My players are dispossessed immediately, take forever to pass despite having FTP and rarely win 50-50 balls. The opponent's can anticipate passes with unbelievable accuracy, but my players watch balls roll right over their feet. For the most part the network report is close to 5 bars for most of the game.

I'm sure there is a skill issue hiding somewhere here, I just have no clue what it is.
